We had a bit of snow here yesterday but it did not "pitch" (Bristol word for laying snow) though it turned to rain in the afternoon. Been a bit of watery sun here today. Me and the GF are going to have a walk along the seafront this afternoon follwed by a little detour into my local where they have lovely open wood fires...... a lovely Sunday. Oh and going to give the landlord a sticker that I havd in my vapourworld order saying that the Pub is Vape Friendly.

Snowed from 9.30 last night here in Southborough (Tunbridge Wells) went on for quite a while. A good few animal footprints in it this morning. No more snow though but freezing cold. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! MMa

That's some serious snow you have there Jason! All gone here . . . although hoisted by my own petard with the heating. Worked when I posted this morning, stopped working about an hour later . . . re-booked young Ian to come round for a look today after all. Ian gets it going again, jammed pump apparently . . . worked for about 2 hours when I got home and now stopped again. A phone call to Ian in the morning I think . . .

I was worried about the poor little thing too, wanted to come and get it. He/she only needed a blanket, somewhere cosy like a shed for the night, a bowl of dog food and some water. Snow's all gone here too now. Jason, at first quick glance and reading your window sign backwards, for a split second I thought it said 'The rear alternative to smoking' !

We had about 4-6 inches in our car park.
Couldn't get my car out of the car park this morning. Tried for 45 minutes to no avail. I managed to get 3 feet in 45 minutes. Had to take the train and arrived an hour and half late. It was a complete nightmare...
Got home later than normal as I had to take the train back..Looks like kids in the apartment have had a good time and there are a couple of snowmen in the car park.
Now waiting for the slush but atleast I haven't got to go to work for the next four days..

Off on a bit of a tangent from snow here I know . . . but I was reading someone's paper from Saturday at lunch time today. There was this utterly heartbreaking picture of a mother orangutan and her baby . . . they were surrounded by local villager's who were about to kill them both, as they get paid £70 for each orangutan that they slaughter, as they're considered a pest to crops where ever it was. The look of sheer terror on the Mum's face as she tried to shield her baby, had me in tears . . . thank the lord there was a happy ending. With minutes to spare a British wildlife charity ( forget which one ) rescued them both and have re-located them to a uninhabited part of the forest. Bit of a waffle there from me, but you know how things touch you sometimes . . .

It will be fine, they are born survivors - more of them live in towns these days as there is so much more food for them. It really amazes me just how many you see in London. Out in Regent's Park last September, lovely day having a bit of a picnic with my mate, his wife and kids, and loads of other people a bout, a fox just trotted by and dived under a bush. It was so nonchalant, at first I thought it was just somebody's dog!

Hope it's not long then Macca, before you get to pick your car up, sounds like a nightmare of a day to me. Maybe I explained it wrong.. I couldn't get the car out of my apartment car park in the morning at 630 am. It was frustrating in the morning as I was rocking inside my car trying to get the damn thing to move. The car is still at home. It was not too bad..just arrived at work and hour and half late which is not necessarily a bad thing as I had a valid excuse..

Didn't you try to shovel some of the snow away around the wheels? Sorry, I'm in Scotland and we have got off lightly this year (obviously as i now have snow tyres and a snow shovel!) But seriously 4 inches, we had 4 foot last year and after the gritter went along the road and piled it all over our cars we had to dig them out of around 6 foot of white stuff
