Thanks colli, I've not looked into 18650 batteries yet but I see them mentioned all the time and wondered why mods/ecigs aren't centred around AA batteries? At a guess it will probs be that they have a higher output voltage, but obviously AA's are more convenient to buy and charge etc... Basically yes. AA rechargeable batteries are 1.2 v. You'd need minimum 3 of those in series to get close to a single Li-IOn or Li Polymer cells. There are mods with AA rechargeable batteries though. They are about the size of an old portable transistor radio, if you remember one of those, with an atty connector where the antenna would be with 4.8v output ie., 4 batteries in series. If you are going to dabble in modding just one word of caution..Be very careful with Li Ion batteries..they really can explode in extreme cases and blow your hand off. So get protected batteries and not the cheapest one you can buy. Thanks maccafan, The reason I asked this is because I have a USB emergency power supply which I originally bought for my mobile phone (due to its dire battery life!) but I have since bought extra batteries for mob, and therefore this is sat in a drawer redundant. Basically it takes 4 AA batteries and has a female USB connector on a short lead, and, well...if it's redundant I thought I could make some use out of it!? To the drawing board!

Thanks for the link maccafan. It is now bookmarked for later use! (have just bought a 6 x AA battery case from ebay for about £2.50)
Thanks for your link too 2risky! I had seen that one, which seems like an absolute bargain if I'm honest, but for now I'd like to try my hand at modding.....

But hey Giz, your signature says you've saved £37 quid Ha! It lies!!! Unfortunately/fortunately it doesn't offset my vaping bits and bobs. (Probably just as well as it would be a constant reminder of how serious I'm taking up vaping!)

It's here!!!! And what a difference to some of my juices! Thanks Vapour Hut - I have a selection of carto's (Soon to increase after the HC GB) and I have found a huge difference between using the same juice in different carto's, sometimes to the point of not using them again. But with the VV shining blue, that little extra oomph has brought a new lease of life into them! All i need now is the syringes to turn up so I can make a tank and I should have my perfect set up!!! Ooh, by the way - I have the Golden Virginia juice from VH,, and although I can't tell if it tastes of the real thing, it's the closest I have got and I quite enjoy it!
