I have marked Isabel22 info as pre sale as GearBest do not have the item in stock and have never had the item in stock. It is therefore a presale, regardless if its on order or in transit from the supplier.

The website is making people believe something when it is not true. If I ordered either item today 08/01/2015, I would expect it to ship by 15/01/2015. However based on what isabel22  has said this simply isn't possible.

Please stop mentioning other Chinese companies. You make it sound as if we should accept this as other companies operate the same way, which they don't.

Its worth mentioning this isn't directed at you, isabel22. Its merely an explanation of what is causing myself and others frustration with GearBest.

well the items I had on order from the middle of December and cancelled were reordered from Etop, and dispatched within 12 hours of me making payment so when they show in stock on there website, then they are in stock. Maybe Gearbest should stop trying to grab all the business and maybe just specialise in a few companies products.

Also I would like to point out that any retail business will order certain stock that at some point won't sell that is the nature of the beast,so by using the excuse that gearbest make small orders as they don't won't to be stuck with stock,how do you think small retail business operate?

It is really very easy. If it is not in your warehouse it is presale. I personally believe that anything in stock should be shipped the same day or the day after. If it is 5 to 10 days (or some other variation) then there is every possibility that something will happen within those 5 to 10 days to cause a problem with supply as has happened so many times before. It is leading to much distrust (with good reason). 

This is how EVERY ITEM in Gearbest should be listed, not just for promotion items.

Okay to order this, 119 items in stock. If customers had this much certainty you would get more sales and more returning customers.

Obviously none of these left to sell. A date could be added when they are expected to be in stock again.

If you had a system like that then Gearbest would be the FIRST place that people would look for a GENUINE INSTOCK item.

Customers would greatly appreciate the honesty of a system like that and would return to GEARBEST time and time again

and tell all their friends about it.

The highlighted word above is the problem with GB and the 3-5 days shipping that is posted on the website for 99% of the items. Fasttech stock in 7 days at least lets you know, that they don't have the item but are expecting it within seven days. Also, with Fasttech in my experience, if it says ships next day, it has done exactly that, if you check FT, they have various shipping estimates on items which will allow you to work out how best to split your order if need be, to get the items that are in stock shipped ASAP. As for ordering from GB, forgetting about it and it will be in your hands in 3/4 weeks, two orders I placed with 3-5 days shipping weren't in stock after 15 days and never had been in stock. Maybe smokingaces has called this correct, they are being economical with the truth to try and gain the bulk of the business from the members here. Until GB mend their ways, I will continue to shop elsewhere. The sad thing in all this is the work that isabel22 puts into her job for GB and the members here is being undone by the GB "leader" who obviously isn't listening to her.

Your system robby, would have me back shopping with Gearbest immediately. I could order an in stock item for quick shipping and decide on an out of stock item, whether to order and wait if the price is good and I'm in no great hurry for it or to buy it from in stock elsewhere, if it was something I was in a hurry to get, seemples !The bottom line for me is a bit of honesty, it looks like you have to enlist the services of isabel22 at every turn to get a bit of that. The situation is not really fair on her or the consumer.

Unfortunately this looks like it is a method for getting more cashflow through Gearbest which means they have more cash on hand to order stock.

Another bugbear is the "tracking number" charge for items under $40, most other companies including Fasttech ship items over $25 (correct me if I`m wrong) with a tracking number and items under $25 have a sliding scale.

A recent order I made for batteries is coming "surface mail". Now when I ordered it, it said the usual 20 days ish. I paid for a tracking number thinking that it would be sent Airmail as usual. It wasn`t.

All of these tactics make Gearbest an uncertain expensive shipping method which is the last thing any customer wants when buying from China.


One other annoyance is "insurance". It should not be necessary to buy insurance when you have a tracking number. I am not aware of any other vendor that does this. Looks a lot like "free money" to me.

The stock available in the EU warehouse is really very poor and has been for over a month now, very few new items added and only 34 items available, most of which are cheap items. When the cost of shipping them to the UK had been added then they are poor prices. Maybe worth considering stocking only items over $20.

Lexes1411 Efun doe's not show the cubis as being in stock it clearly show on there website as a pre-order sale item with a 1065 orders and pre-sale ends 11th Janaury 2016,so not sure where you are looking.

Also forget about it and 3/4 weeks it will be in you hands I have had some stuff, that taken 3 months this is when the item is in stock and they have split my order. The point is you don't see other Chinese vendors advertising stock they don't really have,then make excuse that it's there stock control or that they don't want too stock as they don't know if the item will sell, if I had the same attitude my shop would never have a item on its shelves.

Also I would like too point out that I am not having a pop at Isabel but more at Gearbest,and until such times as Gearbest gets it act together then they will no longer receive my business or recommendation to purchase from them.

I wont use them at the moment as there service is very poor, its in Gearbests interest to get things right as in the next few months buying from within the UK is going to dry up..

Good news is that we can mark the ETA, but just for new products
By the way, we will mark the details date within 1-14 days restock, while set pre-sale which among 15- 29 days for new items
And the page would show Out Of Stock if the supplier cannot provide hot sell items within 10 days
but will back to original page when we get the item restock.(that means clients can add to cart )
We don't want to see that you have issue with refund, because that will connect paypal, its complex to deal with that, also will take you several days to get refund.
And i got the news that in Quarter 2, the whole site will try to mark ETA for all items and change the shipping time.
Its difficult to change the shipping time for ecig right now.
Though its still not good as other vendors, but we hope you can see our changes and to be better in future.
