Hi Guys and Gals, After several months my e-cig (a 1100 Riva 510) has left this world to become something better! I don't think it helped that I dropped it numerous times... I'm looking for recommendations for a new kit - on my old ecig I tried using some boge cartos but only managed to get a really burnt taste for much of the time...perhaps I was filling them incorrectly - although I did use the condom filling technique (first time round). So I'm looking for a new starter kit and was thinking about going for something like a tank (ideally with a clearomiser) rather than something that uses material due to my -ve experiences with the cartos. I found the riva to be a great bit of kit and just used cartridges and atomizers with blue foam. Ideally I need something with about the same battery life! Will also by a case if it's not from VE. Any help greatly appreciated and thanks in advance! Cheers Ed.

Hi Ed, John gave you some great e-cigs there... my personal suggestion would be the imist but you could also have a look at the Janty neo

What about a mod (big battery holder)? I know they can be far more expensive to buy, but the batteries are so cheap to replace. You could keep an eye out n our classifieds section to see if any you like the look of come up for sale

I'm biased towards parkes vaping... They do tanks and mods (things that put in changeable batteries) and can get you all kitted out for around £30 (no more than £40) but they are taking forever to come right now... www.parkesvaping.com/If you're not sure what you need email them....the tank mods are just the tanks by the way. I have the chibi ( $5.50 empty) and love it Jane PS. Alternatively if you don't want the weight but just want a cheapo every day e-cig then you could do worse than this though I'd personally invest in a trustfire 001 charger for the batteries. I have the same one from wizard and have it since november with no probs.. Just take off the cone (and lose it ;-D) and like pop your tank on Or a lavatube..

What about a mod (big battery holder)? I'd suggest that too. Which one? That is the question - I suppose a Lavatube would be the most economical one with a good reputation. Here's one: freedomvape.co.uk/shop/article_11/VV-Lava-tube-Premium-Kit.html?shop_param=cid%3D2%26aid%3D11%26I'm thinking that anyone who's tied to a PC for long periods could do worse than ordering Jason's VV passthru... except the brilliant one I've got seems to be unavailable now, and I wouldn't like to recommend one that I haven't tried.

I think Ed would like help on the best cartos to vape with his Lavatube. I've only used LR DCCs because I had so many, but they're not the best. Gordy says 2.4ohm and over are best but I've only found them at ECig Wiz. If anyone has any other suggestions, fire away!

Yeah sounds like a good choice..... Ed....
It's not that expensive really......and has rave reviews...
Though I'd get an e-power as spare or a paws mod when you have the LT...always good to have a spare decent e-cig

simply put you can use anything on the Lavatube
but if you want to use the full voltage range then use a carto/atty with a resistance of 2.4ohms and above.
1.5ohm cartos will work great but the lavatube will only give you a max of 3.8 volts
simple sum is to multiply whatever the ohms rating of the carto is by 2.5 to get the max voltage output from the Lavatube

I hate topics like this I look at all the suggstions and find myself needing a lava tupe/paws mod / any kind of mod What a lovely post Ed, I'm new but feel at home here already. Just one favour to ask you tho, please don't post and tell us how great you're getting on with your LT, i can't cope and neither can my bank manager
