With two 18650s would I get twice the power or twice the battery life?

You will get twice the power with same battery life, or twice the battery life with same power. Or a bit more power and a bit more battery life. If you see what I mean.

I'll explain what I know about electricity - it comes out my walls, down the wiggly wires and makes things work or comes out of the magic buttons and works lights without wiggly wires between.
Two batteries seems a great idea, if I got twice the battery life but if I got twice the power my juice would taste like boiled widdle.
Are there any 2 x 18650 mods that would give me the power of one 18650 but twice the battery life or am I living in cloud cuckoo land.
For anyone not as well versed with electricity as me ask a grown up to help translate my technical descriptions.

IIRC at the same watts/ohms that makes no difference. Parallel versus series is about total max output.
