My partner just reported the catalytic converter has been stolen off her 11 year old Toyota, £160 to replace. The people that do this choose low income areas and older cars, could not give a toss that the person is going to be made unemployed next week with total loss of income and a car that the replacement is worth about as much as the car.
About time politicians addressed this type of crime and handed out punishment appropriate, small crimes cost more than large crimes to people with no money. None of you B*****ds getting my vote next month because none of you care.

Not worth reporting, happening every night, we know loads had same thing, police not interested, and insurance excess comes to more than replacement and they load policy for next 5 years so not worth it, it's loss loss situation.

I realise that and told her so, trouble is they into nicking anything east london/essex she lost a 10 year old Citroen few years ago, mum and dad lost £25 of lead off roof twice in 2 months, these b*****ds nick anythink for few pennies, my main point is when these people caught we should go back to old punishment to put people off doing it, deportation to South Georgia (we still own it), 1 year repairing all the potholes on our roads no pay, something needs to change in this country

Not at all mart166 . . . you've every justification to be livid and give vent! I'm sorry you've fallen victim to these undesirables.

On a lesser scale of expense & inconvenience, we have what I call ' Urban Guerrilla's ' around these parts . . . . their current sport is on a Friday/Saturday night, to take plant pots from peoples front gardens - and smash them on the pavement.

Nothing to be gained whatsoever from such behaviour in this instance, other than to be very demoralizing for anyone who does attempt to make their property look attractive.

I know what I'd like to do to them.
