brand new atty...to clean or not to clean

hi all..

so just wondering what the consensus is.
you have a brand new atty land on your doorstep, you rip open the packaging whilst swiping any children spouses and pets out of the way...so do you clean it either under water, in an ultrasonic or....just fill n vape

Fill n vape. Clean it when needed at a coil change

I'd give it to SWIMBO to test run, saves me swilling bits of swarf and machine oil out of my own mouth.

If you have ultrasonic....do that.

Else good wash and dry.

You gotta get any machine oil off it that may be there.

I give it a good sniff and if it doesn't have any strange smell and looks clean, then I'm a lazy mare and just crack on with it

Always ultrasonic clean and usually re wick too before using.

Stick it in the ultrasonic wipe dry with a paper towel and away i go, i'm impatient by nature but not impatient enough that i can't wait 3 minutes.

But, but, but... I have everything delivered to work and the ultra sonic is at home... it could be looking at me for 8 whole hours!!!  I am THAT impatient!

To be on the safe side I always give mine a good ultrasonic clean first, no matter what.
You never know, speaking from experience, if there is any machine oil in or on the new tank it doesn't taste good!!
