Hi Guys, Just wondering how everybody seems to be ever increasing there wattage & lowering there Ohms(sub) The reason i ask is, i mainly vape now with my roseV2's and my juices tend to be custards or bakery usually 50/50 or 70/30 vg heavy. I make my coils to at least 1.6ohm to 2 ohms (Japanse cotton) as i found that when i built lower on Kayfun/Rosev2 that i would get funky tasting flavour at higher wattage? (i dont think its a wicking issue, i could be wrong ) My current setup works for me as follows 1.6ohm microcoil jap cotton at around 11.5 - 12.5 watts (great taste and vapour) So i guess the question is: Is there anything i can do / should try and get the ohm's down etc? Will sub ohm'ing and upping wattage (RTA) improve and enhance my vape experience? Recommendations greatly appreciated? Cheers in advance

The one thing that the Rose doesn't do well is airflow, you can just about lung hit but it's not easy. That's your first problem, the second is the higher VG juice that you are using - the wicks can't keep up. On top of that the Rose can be a bit picky with the amount of cotton in the grooves. Once it's right however i'd struggle to find a better tasting RTA on the market.
But to answer your questions:
Is there anything i can do / should try and get the ohm's down etc? - sure you can build lower ohm coils but the poor airflow on the Rose will make it feel like lava.
Will sub ohm'ing (RTA) improve and enhance my vape experience? - no see answer to question above. Sub-ohming requires increased airflow and IMO the rose it best between 1-1.4 ohms. Some of the subtanks on the market have good flavour as well as a good amount of vapour but considering that you're putting them up against the Rose i would probably say that none of the sub-ohm tanks are on par with it flavour wise. That's the key to the king of sub-ohm tanks when it arrives - mass vapour and excellent vapour. If you want that now then buy a dripper.

sub ohming is for chavs who cant get good flavour unless they go low I have to disagree with you geordie_vaper - I can get good flavour with higher ohms, but I get far more satisfaction from an airy vape at low ohms and high watts. And I am, most definitely not, a chav! Tease-smiley

Don't know what the icon is so *Blows a raspberry at you* lol He does have a point about the flavour, sub-ohm drippers and tanks are like the American approach to fast cars: just take the easy way out and whack the biggest engine you can find in a basic chassis. Flavour requires a balance of many things working together not just power & airflow and differient liquids favour different solutions like tobaccos are much better with steel, custards with cotton.
