Perpy, my biggest pet hate has always been sellers in the past selling "starter" kits with only one battery. Especially the smaller models that only last a couple of hours before they need recharging. However, most kits did only come with the one attie & though as you say it is the weakest link, in most cases an attie should last long enough for a newbie to order some spares if they get on OK with vaping.

I see where you're coming from Chris, just seems a bit silly to me to launch a 'new' starter range with only 1 atty/battery, I'd imagine most new vapers have no real knowledge of how long these things last so purchasing spares could not be an immediate priority to them. Imagine if you'd taken to vaping and your one whatever died on you over a weekend. Couldn't get my head round the sister company selling full Tornado kits at half price then producing this package. Probably me.

Well my theory has just been blown out of the water Received an email from TECC - they are also now selling the compact Tornado kit. And as it's TECC branded, it doesn't look like TECC have been selling off their stock due to them winding up the business.

I think they probably sell starter kits with only one battery & one atty because the can make more of a profit that way. Especially when you consider the price of individual items.
They are offering the bare minimum & then hoping the customer will buy more seperate items.

I'm sure you are right Hissie, but I do think it can look like a misleading bargain to newbies.

Agree with you both on that - thing is I'd have thought it would have been cheaper to re-package the stock they're selling at half price if this is the way they're going with their business.
Not that I'm complaining as I've had some lovely bargains.

I believe it's specifically designed to reel newbies in cos they think it's a bargain...........
And that is the main reason for a one battery "starter" kit being a pet hate of mine.

Well after my couple of impulse purchases, I think I will be avoiding "bargains" in the future.

Well after my couple of impulse purchases, I think I will be avoiding "bargains" in the future. Hi Hissie, I am always suspicious about bargains and I do think that even now a days you still get what you pay for. Ken.
