Do you have any idea of what size box you want to put it into. Obviously the smaller the more difficult it can be.

Well you could get one of these from modmaker uk but you will need to work out chip mounting, buttons etc. Or as its your first build you could go down the 3d printed route and get something made for the sx350 yeah this be exactly the type of set up id be after .......lot of homework to do now ...thanks ...lol....ill put up a post next year when ive made progress :-)

Just got one of those milled aluminium cases from 'the mod maker' along with a fat daddy v3, tactile switches, battery sled, wire and heat shrink, the ally case is really nice and not much bigger than a cloupor mini, it'll take some 'adjustment to the battery sled and one of the magnet posts on the ally box. It's going to be a really tight build but it could be worth it if I find the bottle to do it, just wondering whether to get a screen mount for the dna from shapeways

Yes saw that one the mod maker site just now @windows , not bad at all but I got a dna30 for 20 quid from vape escape which I thought was a bargain so in for a penny, not planning on fitting usb charging so that buys a little space but it's still going to be interesting, my main concern is drilling the holes correctly as my pillar drill got ruined in a shed disaster last year so it's hand drills and a dremmel.

That will be fun by hand. Problem with the shapeways chip mounts are they are mostly for the dna40 so way too wide. The depth of the box is only just deep enough to stand the board on its edge and shut the lid. You could cut a square window and fit a bit of plexi glass in it then stick the screen to the back of the board. Then its just a case of glueing the board upright in line with the window.
