I've had my cloupor mini for a few weeks now and everything has been working fine till a couple of days ago and now it's sort o gone all weird. Either the display lights up as it should but it's then giving completely wrong and different ohms settings on each press of the fire button, or I get a really dim display but it then gives the correct ohms readings. Oh, and a few times when I've used it after a 10 minute or so rest it has come up with 'too hot' when I first press the fire button Obviously it couldn't be too hot when I haven't used it for a while eh. Anyone know what the hell is going on here, anyone else had these problems with theirs? I did the 15 second 30 watt test and all was ok.

sounds like it could be a bad earth, try giving your battery -ive terminal a good clean, and a scrape with a screwdriver/emery paper or similar..

Ok, after messing about with it, taking on board the advice given regarding the cleaning of the battery terminals which I had already tried but not with something like sand paper it seems that the display is lighting up alright now. I then had the problem of the ohms reading, first it was showing low resistor, then a 1.8 coil was showing up as 0.46 through to 0.60 ohms and wouldn't even fire up. Sooooo, I then got me little screwdriver supplied with the cloupor and tried tightening up the 510 screw to no avail, so did the opposite & unscrewed it a bit, ohms started going up slightly, carried on unscrewing till ohms showing around the 1.8 mark - now the screw is almost so loose that you can probably turn the thing upside down and it'll fall out but at least it seems to be functioning properly for now

My fingers are crossed that cleaning the battery terminal will have done the trick this time. I didn't have any emery paper but used a kitchen scouring pad instead, thought that might be course enough. Time will tell if the problem has been fixed permanently or whether I'll be back to square one again by tomorrow - seems to be a bit temperamental last couple of days - was even looking on youtube reviews tonight for an alternative mini box mod that takes 18650 batteries coz I was getting pi**ed off with the cloupor.

Most of my neighbours are Canarian and we always joke about that during a calima, we quite often get our rugs out and start beating them to send the dust back to Africa It's just a bit of fun

Just a thought, are you using the atty direct onto the cloupor? If you are, the removal/refit of the atty will by nature be slightly adjusting the 510 pin each time, so over time a proper readjustment will be needed. I use one of these www.vapeescape.co.uk/Vaping-Spares/Accessories/Airflow-Controller.htmlpermanently on my Mini, so you're only taking the atty on & off the afc, not off the mini itself... not had an issue with the mini's 510 as it's never disturbed once set for the afc, and I adjust the ring for a flush atty fit (all my protanks have their own afc bases so maintaining airflow isn't an issue, note this probably won't work correctly UNLESS your atty has it's own afc mechanism. HTH

HTH I'm just using the little iclear 16's with the 510 adaptor so there shouldn't be an issue with the 510 pin needing altering when changing over flavours as the adaptor works just the same as your airflow controller, it's permanently on the cloupor. Mind you quite often the iclear will stick to the adaptor in which case I have to take the whole thing off in order to get the iclear unscrewed from the adaptor
