Yea have a break and try again, temp control is easy when it's all up and working and hard was it isn't, it's just more sensitive to coils, connections etc. pretty sure all the experienced users here can say they have had jip at some point when starting out with it.... Thanks bulldog, it did occur to me after i put everything away that the connection at the 510 may not have been perfect as i did not adjust the pin. Was so excited about getting it all up and running i forgot the basic steps. Hopefully have another go on the kayfun on Friday when i get home. Having a play with numbers etc on steam engine and think i have the jist of it now. What is all the heat flux stuff about? And the little picture of a flame that changes colour? Yea mate make sure it's clamped down on to that positive screw.....I'm not fussing about tank over hangs and gaps, any pics you see of my kangxin flask, zero etc there will be a gap, that way I know I'm clamped down the the postive. Heat flux is heat over a given area, you want it green on steam engine. I'm not sure how it applies to vaping when we are cooling the coil with air and juice which I assume is not calculated . Also not sure how important it is with reagrds to temp limiting either, our coils shouldn't overheat? VapingBad is the man to answer, hopefully he can add and confuse us both....

IMO it is even more important as you want to spread the heat enough to stop it tripping the temp limit before it creates enough vapour, but not too much that it can't get up to temperature at your wattage. I found the cooler side of green works for me, but with 100% PG I would want it cooler than the rest of you. YMMV, experimentation is the best way, if you have 2 atties of the same type do a slightly different build in each, then rebuild the one you like the least differently again, repeat until happy.
