Hi Peeps. After latest charging completed the Smowell is stuck showing charging mode on screen. Have tried reset button press, but no change still shows charging. Put micro plug back into mod without connecting to laptop, hence no charging taking place. Screen then changes back to normal screen for about 60 secs, then changes back to charging mode. Have removed battery and replaced with fully charged battery, still stuck on screen with charging showing ???? Cannot switch off using 5 clicks of fire button. Any suggestions will be most appreciated.

dont use lots of force but enough for a good positive connection and hold the reset button in for 30+seconds, failing that pull the battery and leave it unpowered overnight which should discharge any capacitors used to hold settings between battery changes.
i dont have one nor have i had a similar prob with a mod but some reset buttons need a bit more time depressed to act 30 secs should cover all bases on that front. and letting the thing run out of power completely should also reset to start up..

Hi Peeps. Well this little beauty is working correctly again. Found the fault. Somehow I had pushed the charging port inwards and was touching another component on the board, I used a needle nosed pliers to carefully pull it back to it`s correct position. Job done. So peeps be carefully when you push in your micro usb plug into this mod. Vape on VAPE "SAFE".

GRR, the damn screen on my Smowell DPV-50 stopped working a few days ago, the thing still fires up but nothing shows on the screen so I don't know what the wattage is or if i'm in mech mode or not.

I've had mine over 6 weeks and it's brilliant, no problems apart from the soft headed bottom screws ! I always remove the battery to change so that's a PIA . It's still one of my go to mods even fires .01 ohm even though it shouldn't so that's a plus point for having a iffy ohms reader

Mine has been doing the same thing for over a week and every day I have been glaring at it balefully and wondering whether to sling it. Anyway, I've just rootled around in its charging port with a toothpick and it's working now. i doff my titfer in your direction.

I did buy another one at the same time, using that one now, so we'll see how long it lasts! I think it's an inherant fault with these, i've seen a few complaints online elsewhere about the dreaded screen problem so lets hope my second one AND yours doesn't come to the same fate

It's had almost 12hrs use so far today and faultless IF it does do belly up I think I'd change the chip just love the design and it's so comfy to hold. It will live in one way or another
