Zero 510 help

Need a new 510 for a Zero, can't get the 510 out, think its glued in but can't heat anymore than a hairdryer due to the wood so will have to drill it out. It's basically an approx 6mm socket with a copper screw. Can't fit a fat daddy as I only have about 10mm possibly less before i hit the battery positive. Looked on steath, mod maker and can't find nothing.......

Anyone know where I can get one?

Only thing I can think of is to replace it with with a nut and screw, solder the red wire to a nut and use the screw as a adjustable positive pin. You wouldn't need the hole 510 as the attie is held in place by the case. If you get what I mean, it just a case of finding suitable nut/screw. Or use this part of a 510 connector

Have you tried the original subtank on it. as it has a spring loaded 510

How about removing the centre pin with a screw removal tool LIKE THISthen re-tappingg the socket thread?

Here's a break down



The main part of the 510 is dual threaded, coarser threads at the top for an atty and finer at the bottom for the blue insulator. I reckon it's viable to chop some threads off the bottom and then reassemble but the positive pin would end up higher. If you don't find anything else maybe buy a couple and chop a bit off at a time and see how you go

Drill it out, solder the wire to 1 of these and glue back in place.
Just a case of finding copper pin to fit it.

would like to get a fat daddy on it but don't see how I can wiring it with the way the inner sleeve works....

Just an idea but if you drill it out so you can get at the positive wire. Then drill the top plate so you can run a 10mm tap through it.
You might have enough room to get a 22mm 510 to thread into the plate.

Should of done that first when the head screw head broke off, I cut a (rough) slot in the thread that was left then totally fecked it....

Run a new positive wire through the top of the wood. The negative is taken care of as the mod uses the metalwork of the body for its earths.

Will look into it.... wight come up with a good one for a slacker like me...the original subtank might fire on it as is with the adjustable pin on the tank....dont want to push it as it will end up at the back of garden again...
