Wanted to stop in and say hi - have been vaping for about a year having dropped the real thing and moved over to the light side back then.

Am looking to learn about potential upgrades in time, but mainly about DIY liquids as not only does it sound way cheaper but I like the idea of doing a bit of cooking/alchemy!

Big fan of anything minty/mentholly at the moment, would like to avoid the steeping thing if I can (and I think I can by staying on the M/M path?) in the short term and am currently listing the kit I think I need to buy to get started - think I am almost there. Consensus seem to be that a lot of the starter kits have more than you need so am listing the liquids, bottles and syringes to buy separately and then will get an order off. May well post a summary before I place the order just to get some views.

Have discovered loads from the various threads on here - real fountain of knowledge so thanks all.

My tip get yourself a cheap set of digital scales and mix by weight much quicker and simpler than eyeballing syringes plus you can get a big squeezy plastic bottle with a nozzle top to decant your VG into, much easier to use than drawing that gloopy stuff up into a syringe.
Dunno much about recipes i pretty much stick to 3 or 4 mixes for myself but i'm all about being lazy and making the job easy.

Thanks all - I think the scale shout is a good one and have seen that discussed on here so may well go that way. I'm not overly fussed about the complex recipes but who knows in time. Have tried to avoid anything tobacco - ish as that could well cause flashbacks. Menthol held my hand from cigs and haven't really strayed from that while vaping so miking that feels like a good first simple step. Just need to download a calculator and make sure I understand it before I order. Does seem reasonably straight forward, and fun.

you're right about menthol/minty mixes needing minimum steeping most are vapeable straight away but if you make a batch then by the time you get to the end of the batch it will be steeped.

welcome, im only a beginner myself but steeping juice changes it, and when you start mixing with confidence in bigger batches with proven recipes steeping the bulk wont be too much of a problem
