Just wondering how people fill these cartos?
Never had kangers before, so tried my first one today & it just didn't work at all. Seemed the pin on the carto wasn't touching the battery. I tried pulling it out a bit but to no avail, so it got binned.
Do kangers need filling differently?

Could be a DOA carto..
I don't think there is any difference to the way you fill them..
If they are 510 standard the boge has a upright coil near the battery connector end and the kanger has a horizontal coil near the battery connector end.

I tend to do a condom fill for the first use, to make sure the thing is properly soaked. This seems particularly important for the Kangers. Threreafter I just drip from the top, unless I have a particularly thick juice that doesn't want to soak in quickly.

I've been using the Kanger horizontals quite a bit recently and found them very robust and like Storm haven't had any problems at all. Occasionally get a contact failure when swapping to a different battery but it's always been curable by adjusting the batt's centre pin, that's what I'd normally try first rather than the contact on the carto itself.
I generally do the first fill on all cartos with a syringe + blunt needle slid down the side between the filler and shell then just squeeze the liquid in nice and slowly. Not a job to do in a hurry. Later top-ups I'll use whatever's to hand, dropper bottle, spikey thing etc.
It's well worth having the condom on the threaded end for both filling and topping up so if you do get any escaping from the bottom it doesn't make a mess - or get wasted if you've really overdone it! It also gives the carto a stable flat bottom for standing on at the same time.

Maybe the echo battery can't handle the amperage..At 2 ohm resistance and 4.2 volts you'll be asking 2.1 amps drain from the battery.

Thanks peeps.
I usually use the condom method or Griz Whiz.
Just never used kangers before.

Apart from the coil placement I think the only other difference is that the filler in the Kangers is a bit tighter packed than the Boges, so they maybe take a bit longer to soak through. I think all 'miser connections can be a bit variable and I have found that sometimes just using a 510-510 adaptor on the battery end solves a connection problem.
