Merlyn has been found, the dear little girl was ran over near our house. Had a phone call from someone telling me, luckily her name and the phone number was on her tag. Someone must have just thrown her in a hedge as the position she was in gave it away. Now I've gotta tell both my sons She's now resting near a camellia as my family don't need to see her broken up body. Her daughter patches was close by at every stage, almost like saying goodbye mum. Really touching. How can anyone do that, without stopping to look ! If the person did stop they'd have seen her tag and I'd have hoped rang the number

Sorry to hear that @tedster I've lost a cat in an accident and when he didn't come home I went looking for him and found him pretty horribly injured, dead in the gutter heart wrenching! Know how your feeling bud, I too had to tell the kids.
All the best, Paul.

Thank you both boys are very very upset, just come back from a long drive just to try and cheer em up. I'm still hand feeding the kittens, it's still around every two hrs but they are so sweet and am doing everything I can to keep em alive. Bloody tiring though. Mrs ted can't do it as she's worried about drowning them, it's easy a 2ml syringe , suck up lukewarm kitten milk and just drop into their mouths yes they squirm and kick up a fuss, but as soon as they know its food, no prob. Patches is missing her mum I think as much as I am. Every op I've had in the last few years she's been beside me, when I had my metal stapes out just recently she went down to my knee and started licking it. I mean how sweet and loving is that, it's a get better dad action. Bless her heart
