Here's a Werthers Clone recipe by ACE777 thatI found on ECF @tedster (a long while back so can't link you to it as I'd copied it into my recipe book - sorry). It comes out well after a long steep - it's not a perfect werthers taste to me, but a good starting base to improve from  It uses One on One's Creamy Caramel Candy which I believe is exactly the same as FW's version. It also uses FW Butterscotch, and I think that's where my problem lies - I'm not keen on FW Butterscotch, prefer FA. OoO Creamy Caramel Candy 10% FW Butterscotch 10% TPA Sweet Cream 2% EM 2% Vanillin 1% There was also a lower % version posted in the same thread I copied: OoO Creamy Caramel Candy 5% FW Butterscotch 5% TPA Sweet Cream 1% EM 0.5% Vanillin 1% Perpetuas Butterscotch Bliss recipe is really really good - it's almost creme bruleeish after a long steep! I now make it with less FA Butterscotch than suggested though |
