Why over 18mg? Most i would think drop their nic down to single figures, especially those of us that have vaped for while, and are using Sub Tank type of devices. I just find it strange as to why they just picked above this figure?

The reasoning behind me asking is what is it trying to prove? is it that we take less puffs with higher strength nicotine mixes than with lower, or is it trying to prove even at higher strengths there's no more detriment to our health than vaping at lower?

I've asked Dr Dawkins - she says that she'll very happily answer any questions about the rationale for the study once it has finished.

jessica, fair enough, but if it wasn't such a high nic content I'd participate... I've worked my way down to 6mg and not inclined to go back up "in the sake of science". I suspect there may be many of us who could / would participate at a lower nic level

Ditto, started at 18mg last August having never being able to quit fags before in 37yrs of smoking, and now down to 3mg.

And we had tried everything, from NHS Cessation, patches , pills, you name it we tried it.

I think I started at 24mg, having tried the patches and gum etc -and reading  Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking (lol)  3 times.  Down to  6 mg/ml now.   There must be lots of people who use 18mg/ml now - but they are probably new users or people who stick with an ego and a ce4, and aren't on the forums.  If the study was asking for people who vaped at 3 or 6mg/ml then this thread probably wouldn't be needed - it would be so much easier to get participants.   I think that the team behind the study are aware of this.

18mg in a dripper 17 to 20 watts, been like that since about 2 months ago only cause most the juices i like only go up to 12mg, so decided to stay at 12
