Most doctors/consultants/etc that put us onto drugs that have varying side effects, appear to be under the impression that whatever the side effects of these drugs are, they can be no worse than the side effects of the substance that these drugs are trying to get you off.

Personally I have issues with this sort of thinking

Doctors are too gullible and too inclined to take drug advertising bumf to heart, without properly investigating the actual success rate of these products.

IE. Anti-smoking drug:- Good.
Electronic Cigarette:- Bad.
Who says?

For me, all anti-smoking drugs:- A waste of space.
E-cigs:- The best thing to hit the market in the last 100 years!
