I use .5mm if i'm going for a .3ohm build or .4mm if i'm shooting for a .5ohm build.
.5mm is about the fattest you can really use on the Subtank anything fatter just doesn't fit between the screw and the sidewall.

Sorry I should have said that I'm not sub-ohming, aiming for 1.2 - 1.5 as that seems to suit my adv of vailla custard.

toots Perfect, thank you. My coiling skills are terrible and I suppose I'm just looking for the easiest solution.

I use .5mm if i'm going for a .3ohm build or .4mm if i'm shooting for a .5ohm build. .5mm is about the fattest you can really use on the Subtank anything fatter just doesn't fit between the screw and the sidewall. Sorry to interrupt, do beg pardon if not reading this right, but when you guys are referring to size of wire, as in OP, "What size Kanthal", i.e. ref above quote. Are you talking about diameters of the coils or actual size of wire, i.e. 24 gauge/26 gauge etc as was in old money, so to speak ?.

lynxkat OOh..now that always confuses me. Imho with microcoils..I think both are the same...but..I could be talking nonsense. Please wait for someone with far more knowledge than me to wander in.
