You can easily work out the resistance per length from the resistivity.. The formula for those interested:

Resitivity=Resistance X (Cross sectional area/Length)

Therefore

Resistance=Resistivity x (Length/Cross sectional area).

Exactly my point. I wouldn't do carry out a rewicking/coil rebuild job it without using a multimeter. For me, it's a must have.

- meaning you can use a multimeter if you so wish but dont need to have one as many people are quite happy to cut a certain length that they have calculated - this isnt a contradiction for the sake of it...its an alternative option

Just to add that I have received brilliant and useful assistance from btw Maccafan and Gordy during my short time on the forum already.. no harm in people having differing opinions in my book.. makes for fun and interesting reading
