My wife is now concerned that we have no idea what is going into the liquids and how close the nic content is to that stated on the bottle ( i.e is it dangerous ).
is this in any way regulated? have their been reliable tests carried out regularly, is there any trustworthy documentation on this.
i've checked the internet and found a few items that seem to imply relatively accurate levels....
just wondering if there are any resources available, or anyone has any reliable information to allay her worries.
thanks

after the recent mistake made by a nicotine supplier in the states there has been alot of debate and questioning of the industry. ECITA are looking into doing testing and certification for vendors... take a look here

If you're really worried about e-liquid and where it's made etc., you could always try THIS. Compared to most others their juices are expensive but I've used both the 'Rich Tobacco' and 'Menthol' and both are nice. I've been vaping all manner of juices, from all over the place and in over two years I've had no problems at all. When compared to tobacco, e-liquid is the nectar of the gods! Fox

well. my wife was obviously having a conversation with the office 'know it all' who reliably informed her that the people concocting these liquids have no regard for people's safety or quality of their product... you know the sort....
i just forwarded her the link Gordy posted and she seems happy. also told her to sellotape it to said 'know it all's' PC monitor before leaving the office

there is also ECCA UK that look after the consumers interest some of the most harmful people are the least informed its been my experience that the vendors and suppliers take the upmost care to give us a top quality safely 'concocted' product

There's always one in every office! Would she rather your wife was still smoking?
When you think it through, it is in the vendor's best interest to keep us fit and healthy, if they kill us with dodgy juice, who will buy from them?

thx guys....
my point exactly to her, with so many (reputable) vendors vying for business, who is going to want to sell dodgy gear

I think they all know the precarious position of e-cigs atm, with so many countries banning them, it would only take one accident and it could be the end IMO off all e-cig sales in the UK.
Perhaps not the end of it for us, but certainly for them. That's on top of their business going anyway, once word got out and their own feelings of not wanting to hurt someone.

it will be 4 years in july that i started vaping. i used to be a very heavy smoker - average of 50 a day so as you can imagine, i am a heavy vaper. i vape between 24-36mg strength juice and have had no problems doing so. my blood pressure has gone down and i can now easily walk up a steep hill without getting out of breath

let me guess, your local post office is at the top of the steep hill and you have some 'packages' to pick up?
Incidentally i have noticed my taste of foods going back to pre-smoking levels...
