I really like the aroma and flavour of Kaffir Lime - and, after some searching, found that Cupcake World do a Kaffir Lime flavouring, I bought it. I like tobacco recipes so I'm about to try this mixture, it's based on another from the web: 1. RY4 Double - Perfumers Apprentice 12% 2. Kaffir Lime - Cupcake world 6% 3. Demerara - UK Flavourings 2% 4. Ethyl Maltol 2% 5. Whipped Cream - Perfumers Apprentice 2% The original had 10% vanilla in it 2% sweetener and 4% maltol, I thought the maltol at 4% might be too much - I added the whipped cream because a) I want to try it b) I think it might smooth the flavour. I thought the demerara would go well because it's closer to the kind of flavour they use in Thai recipes (which is usually where you find Kaffir Lime). I've never used the lime, demerara or whipped cream before. Anyone had any experience of using these flavours, if so, what are they like and what amounts were good? Also, any thoughts welcome!

Please be aware that kaffir lime is an ethanol based flavouring not Pg based. The way round this is to steel your mix lid off for a couple days.
When you taste it you will find its blooming strong I'd suggest cutting that amount in half.

Thanks for this igual, had not spotted it, will steep the mix lid off, as you suggest.

Slaving over a red hot Customer Service Desk all day today kreed. I've not tried the Kaffir Lime . . . . and TPA's RY4 was too perfumey for my tastes - I preferred F'arts when I mixed Tobacco flavours. Demerara/Brown Sugar and Whipped Cream aren't excessive at 2%, although I'd be inclined to stick with the EM as it isn't overly sweet and will act as a better ' blender ' than Whipped Cream. But those are just my thoughts and what suits my tastes.
