I have an istick 30w with Nautilus mini or triton setup with my advs in but I like jumping through a few flavours when sat at home now which can be a pain when jumping from menthol to fruit so am looking at a new mod and tank for home. What should I be looking for? Also want something I can use in the future to cloud chase as I'm getting really into this
Thanks

i know the feeling got the istick30/40/50 i started with a mini nautilus for flavors and also use a subtank mini for my custard ADV i then bought a full size nautilus for like you the changing of fruits and sweets. also now got a freemax starre pro with nikel coils for high wattage around 40-45watt but only use that for premium juice which i must admit does bring flavors out a lot more but not so much on general juice. when will it ever end

Just get a dripper, easy peasy, whip the wick out, dry fire the coil, give the deck a little wipe, slap another bit of cotton in, good to go for the next flavour.

I have used rta and yesterday got a ud igo dripper (ty phatfil). Flavour is better and can be nice clouds depending on how it's built I guess. Alot of fun and as easy as Droog says. Change cotton for new juice

I have about 6 drippers at the moment, and have found the velocity style clone from Fastech to be the easiest to build on. Also like the Mutation X V3 for the same reason, plenty of good ones out there, although some are more fiddly than others to get going. Sure someone with more experience than me will be along soon

MrDJ I can see myself having a few different setups by the end of the month lol OK so a "dripper" for home it is then thanks, any to pay special attention to or avoid? If you want something that is a good all rounder then there is a few things to look for. Flavour versus clouds is really about how you set the the atty up. Adjustable airflow is something you will want, if you're going for clouds then the more open the airflow the better, less airflow will produce less volume but denser flavour. Look for something that includes the option to use a wide bore or chuff style cap and a standard 510 drip tip, again here it's all about volume versus flavour, a wide bore will allow more volume but a standard drip tip will concentrate the vapour more so it's a more dense flavour experience on the inhale. Coil position will play a role too, if the atty has side airflow then positioning the height of the coil so the air flows over the top of the coil will produce a cooler vape but less flavour, you're essentially just pulling in more fresh air. Anything with 4 post holes is less fiddly to setup dual coils on, i wouldn't say it's really fiddly to set up dual coils on an atty with 3 post holes but it is more fiddly because you only secure the outside negative leg on the first coil then when you insert the second coil you have to try and not move the first coil, it's not a major problem or a pain but it is definitely easier with 4 post holes because you can secure the first coil completely before inserting the second one. Of course the option to single coil is also a good thing to have.

I would suggest you watch a few YT vids before committing to dripping; sure you can change out flavour real fast, and sure you can get decent cloudage, but it's an avenue that will involve some preparation and a few purchases; wire, cotton, wire clippers, an ohms reader to check your builds on, an understanding of Ohms Law, sharp scissors, and then an atty. I agree for changing out eliquid it makes sense, but I would suggest that you go for a Kayfun or better still 2 Kayfuns. They hold a good amount of juice and are easy to rebuild on (single coils). Fasttech and other suppliers have numerous variations available and you could have as many different flavors as different tanks all with the same deck on them. I mention the Kayfun as I currently have 3 on the go alongside my subtanks - the biggest benefit is if I'm short of funds I can still rebuild, whereas the subtanks have to wait for me to gather the funds for a new pack of coils. I get satisfactory clouds from my builds - I use a 60/40 mix in my juice VG/PG and I also get great flavour.

Well you're going to need wire, cotton, wire clippers and scissors whatever you build on including the kayfun, an ohms reader isn't strictly needed as he has a regulated device which reads resistance anything too low or too high and it simply won't fire and it won't harm the device. It's worth familiarising yourself with a coil calculator so you can find the number of wraps you need for the resistance you want but you're not going to overtax and vent your battery on a regulated device like you could on a mech. coil calculator www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp?r=0.5&awg=26&id=2.5

You MUST NOT use nickel in a regular mod. It will oxidise if used too hot, and that will harm you. I apologise if you know this, but others reading it may not know.

Some excellent information thanks, I didn't realise that a dripper would involve me having to rebuild my attys so I think I may hold off for a minute, quite simply as I just do not have the time to be fiddling around with rebuilding. Having seen how cheap I can get copies of the Nautilus, Triton, Atlantis and Kanger stuff on fasttech I think seperate tanks I can leave filled is the way to go for now

Hi timOOPPS! nope me didnt know that. ive used it with my istick40 which has TC but while that was charging i also used it on my istick50 which doesnt have TC and ran that at about 42watt ive not seen much info on this so its a bit misleading for new TC users. myepack also sent me a couple of DVC 0.50 and 0.25 coils so i think ill scrap the Ni200 0.25 and the Ni 0.15 which ive been using. so just to double check. using the Ni200 should only be used on istick40 in TC mode and not normal wattage mode. and the freemax DVC (0.50 20-60watt) and (0.25 20-100watt) coils can be used in any of the isticks at higher temperature than im normally used too with the kanger OCC coils. i was thinking of getting a 100w + but stuck on what to get as i wanted a built in battery as dont want to keep faffing around taking batteries out to charge in a seperate battery charger. much appreciated for that info.

You dont need to rebuild, if you buy premade coils from Fasttech... Drippers such as the Velocity & Magma are easy to build with these premade coils... and the flavour is night & day compared to other devices -IMO...

I don't know what the wire is in the freemax DVC coils, so I can't say. But please only use Ni and Ti on a TC device. They can be used on anything, and will work very well, but for safety's sake, don't. Please.
