Thanks drunkenbum but I seem to have a problem!! are you able to help me please? I was just about to start a new thread with this but hopefully you or someone can help me out on this if I post it here? Using a brand new IPV 2D along with a brand new TFV4 it keep saying Low res and wont fire on the IPV 2D... However if I put the tank on the Cool fire 1v it works but the cool fire is making a very high pitched buzzing noise, using sub tank mini on both devices is fine, do I have a faulty tank ir faulty head? I have turned off the TC as it's something I really don't want. any help please... Not at all comfortable using something that close to my face whilst making that sort of noise.

SMOK TFV4 - Triple Coil New Patent Sub-ohm Atomizer Triple Coil 0.2Ω (40w-130w)
SMOK TFV4 - Quad Coil New Patent Sub-ohm Atomizer Quadruple Coil 0.15Ω (40w-140w)
the tfv4 comes with 1 x tripple and 1 x quad coil..
might be worth undoing and ensuring the coil head fitted is fully screwed down?
fwiw im vaping mine with the quad coil fitted (looks like one coil?? must be stacked upon each other?) on a koopor 60w box fine..

The issues I have had with my D2 Pacer are 1). It wouldnt fire at the specified res of .05 (showing short message when firing a coil that it reads at .06) It did work on coils that it reads at or above .08 The other issue is 2). It dosnt read the res correctly so those coils it reads at .08 are actually .1 and as a result I suspect you can bin the temp it says on the screen and adjust to what suits you. So 500F is not burning the wick and gives a nice vape.

Using the coil's that came with it lairey, showing 0.17 on the Coolfire So that'll be the temp control coil Pacer. If you have turned Temp Control off, that could be why it won't work?

lairey has a v good point if its a Ni coil you need to run it with the device set to Ni. If Ni is heated above 450c it starts to give off a nasty gas that you would not want in your lungs, so for long term safety sake, make sure the temp limiting is active when you use Ni.

I read somewhere that over 600f was the point where the nasties are created hence evolv not letting the DNA go any hotter

Thats 450c not 450f it wont happen within the TC range that goes up to 600f 'ish so you are safe at any range on a TC mod drunkenbumI read somewhere that over 600f was the point where the nasties are created hence evolv not letting the DNA go any hotter. thats much lower than what I read but you may well be closer to the actual figure than me. in any event you should be safe below the max 600F limit that some mods have.
