Have noticed ( never really when using the nasties apart from heavily when drinking for instance ) a soreness building up at the back of my throat. using off the shelf throat sweets helps but i guess thats not really a solution.
I am vaping a lot, primarily to get used to all the new toys and flavours i have so maybe the throat is taking a bit of a battering.
anyone else have/had the same issue, i would hope will probably go away as my body gets used to what i am doing.
cheers James

It can happen James, especially in the early days . . . along with other temporary side effects from not using tobacco, plus some juices depending on the flavourings used may aggravate the soreness. . . vaping at high voltages could also be a factor. Maybe try a slightly different vaping technique, ie not dragging/drawing as you would do on a ciggie, but holding the vapour in your mouth for a few moments before inhaling.

i am thinking ( hoping ) it is a transitional thing, and using high voltage on the LT may be something i might want to taper off for a couple of weeks until it settles down a bit
thx.

I've got a bit of a funny throat at the moment too I'ts like I've some flem stuck there (sorry TMI ) I suppose if I was smoking I'd be coughing it up, but it's sort of stuck there and I've a terrible taste in my mouth. antiseptic mouthwash doesn't seem to be helping! I hope it's not with vaping, i'm thinking it may be a slight bug as there is a lot of coughs and colds around just now and people still insist on coming to group and sharing them

Dont forget to drink plenty of fluids as vaping does dry the mouth and throat.

i am thinking ( hoping ) it is a transitional thing, and using high voltage on the LT may be something i might want to taper off for a couple of weeks until it settles down a bit thx. I had a very similar thing when I started vaping, it does ease off, although I do get it occasionally if I over vape. Regarding VV devices, everyone seems to go a bit mad when they get one, oohh 6 volts mmmmm. Personally I prefer the consistancy of vape a LT gives me. My sort of standard vape is a SR Boge in a lil mama tank with 24mg 70/30 pg/vg. At 3.6v to 4.0v I get a great vape, good TH, vapour and taste. Best advice I can give is don't automatically ramp up the voltage, try a few settings until you find what is good for you. Different carts/cartos/clearo's etc will all have their (and your own) sweet spot. Find it and vaping joy awaits.

well, when i started smoking it took a while for the throat to get used to it, so i sort of suspected the same.... just wondering what other people's experiences have been

If you are drinking lots of red wine then that will also be dehydrating you overnight, if you are snoring as well then you will deifnately be waking up with a lot less liquid, drinking Tea and coffee also dehydrates. I was getting headaches (well minor ones) and a tickly throat and I have replaced some of my cups of tea with fizzy water, problem solved. Also remember that if you gave up nasties without vaping the side effects are normally sore throats and flu like symptoms, from where I'm sitting we have given up all those harsh chemicals so the body will be going through the same transition as it would be giving up. I may be wrong but thats my take on it

I seem to get that sore throat akin to post 'heavy smoking on a night out' when I vape a high nic juice. Whether coincidence I also suffered from heavy lethargy problems, from struggling to get up in the morning to feeling snoozey in the afternoon. At the time I put it down to late nights and early starts, but I hadn't changed my routine since vaping. It wasn't until I reduced my nic level that I noticed the sore throat eased and I all of a sudden had endless amounts of energy! If I'm honest I was a little grumpy too, and snapped at my OH for ridiculous things. Similar to the mood swings when going cold turkey from the nasties.

But of course, as Tim mentions above, it could all be side effects from quiting the nasties and in my case, purely coincidental. (I did suffer from headaches too, but extra fluid (water) cured that) It may also be worth mentioning that because the juice I've been vaping is sweet, I seem to be getting my daily 'sweet hit' and have therefore massively cut down my chocolate/sweet intake. When I say massively I mean that whilst smoking I could easily (and often did) consume a large bar of Cadbury's Dairy Milk A DAY. Since my vaping journey began 56 days ago I doubt I have eaten a bar's worth of chocolate! I was about 15.5 stone then, and now I am 14.5! What a result!

My throat used to be very sore when I gave up fags, nothing to do with the vaping. I bet it's that.

After living all my life without being intolerant of anything I find that if I vape anything higher than 65% PG all day I get a sore throat.
No problems as the VG content increases just the PG content.
Thought it was something else but have a juice that is 70% PG that I like so have tried a few times and everytime a winner.
