On getting a new mobile phone, is it possible to transfer wifi login passwords from one phone to the other?

I suppose for security reasons, Have you forgotten your password?
Unless it was your own password, then you should find it on the back/bottom of the router.

Because it's a completely different device, you need to log in again, just like if someone with a different phone wants to use your wireless they have to log in. Have you lost your password?

Jim got it .... you mean to transfer all your wifi passwords stocked in one OS to a new OS ....how far i know is not easy ... you need a special program to recover wifi paswords ,after to save somewhere , but after you need manually to add when you will log in again ....

It's nice to know it's possible, but I would need to be led by the nose. My current phone is a Nockia, can't remember which model! Many thanks for info Jim

well if you have gone through the two step verification process for your Microsoft account your supposed to share all the info via NFC tap to share but both handsets require to be NFC enabled and have NFC turned on for that to work, I have used tap to share in the past to sync all my contacts with those of my wife and kids so there is a master list but not all phones are capable, I did however get access to several wifi networks through doing it since the kids all give that info out to each other (which is why they have their own separate part of the home network and cant access anything on my side of it) but were all using windows phones albeit different versions. going from android to windows it would be a lot simpler, but its likely there is a patent standing in the way of things now, your best option would be to sync your phone with your pc /tablet/laptop (assuming on or more are all windows machines) then access the info on wifi networks from them, there you have a check box to show you the name of any wifi passwords or leave it as dots / on your phone go to settings >sync my settings> and click the hyperlink (how does syncing work?) for full instructions on it or if you prefer using a big screen to read on (I know I do) then this website has pretty much everything on it you could ever want to know about windows phone 8.1 features and how to's as an aside I moved from spamdroid phones to windows phone a couple of years ago and I found the windows units simpler to use and yet somehow more versatile (although the camera sucks balls) hell I even tried an iPhone (loaner unit from three some years back when my actual phone ceased to function) and out of all of them I find the windows phones take less effort to use and have been generally far less buggy with the various apps especially since the denim update, that and hackers have been reticent to attack them with the same ferocity as they have iphone's or spamdroids, perhaps because the app store is so much smaller its harder for them to hide in it/
