We can't really give medical information on this forum so, if worried, please do see the doc. Fox I hear this and any advice is just to help my research, as Karma said going to the Dr is a great idea and in fact I am going Monday but I need to fully understand the larger picture here so at least I can have an educated talk with the Dr rather than a one sided conversation. As said, please don't feel like I am after an online Dr here I'm not, just some ideas to throw about so I can google and go armed with some info to make the conversation productive.

I had my gallbladder removed about 5 years ago. Been vaping nearly two years & haven't had any health problems due to vaping.
However, I always vape 100% VG juice & I stick with the same supplier.
We can't really offer any medical advice other than a trip to the GP.

Not medical advice, but I take some tablets that are metabolised through the liver and I also take a fair few pain killers, and the odd glass of wine............. Not sure if it's helpful or not but I tak the herbal remedy Milk thistle as it's supposed to support liver function So far I've had no dodgy liver tests

The booze bit, well this is why I didn't think it was an issue, I was never a drinker during the day, had a hard a fast rule about not drinking during the day or in front of children etc so it really was only between 7pm and 10pm, this is what made it acceptable. In my eyes an alcholic was someone who rollled out of bed and went to the pub at 11am and drank all day. A lot of people think that drinking every night is acceptable, it is until it becomes something to rely on as an emotional crutch, something I quite clearly did. You're certainly not alone in thinking that Tim. If you ask most people to define an alcoholic, they would say it's someone who drinks from the moment they open their eyes in the morning, or whenever, until the minute they close them again at night, which just isn't true. It's simply someone who can't get through 24 hours without alcohol. I used to go to Al-Anon once a week, which is a support group for family and friends of alcoholics and I learned a lot there about the effects, not just health wise for the drinker, but mentally related problems for the friends and families too. A hardened, regular drinker doesn't get drunk as their bodies are so used to the alcohol, but to get the same effects, they need to drink more or higher percentages. The saddest thing I learned at the groups was the mental torture of the people, mostly women, who were terrified of losing their partner, husband, children's father, son, whoever to liver failure. So sad and so avoidable. Just as smoking and lung cancer is too.

Funnily enough I did think about suggesting Milk Thistle to you yesterday Tim, as it's an excellent liver ' tonic ' that we sell a lot of . . . you should maybe just check with your GP before you start taking it, given that you've had liver problems in the past . . . again to be on the safe side.
