That looks superb oldschoolib but don't stain it, just a fine varnish, or wax etc. If you make another larger one then it's time to experiment with stains etc.

Iv just come across linseed oil , might rub a little in underneath see how it comes out . Although the raw look and feel of it is growing on me ,,, we will see . And thanks to everyone ????

Me, I'd coat it with 3 coats of tung oil or the cheaper variant Danish oil to bring the colour out, let that dry then use a dead matt varnish on it to make it juice resistant.

Bummer....cant do that to our wooden chopping board...its about 4" thick !!!......Nice job oldschoolib I'll be out looking for a thinner one now

Drilled a few drip tip hole, and gave it a quick once over with linseed oil as that's all I had Think that will do for a first attempt ,
