A change of mods appears to have improved things. The evic mini appears to be more plug n play and is vaping like my regular Kfuns to a point. The odds are still on me being back on A1 by tea time though lol. Thanks all for the input. Looking at your settings on steam engine, 10 wraps of 0.3mm Ni200 to get 1.2ohms requires an internal diameter of 2mm. If there's room, try fewer wraps on a bigger mandrel. Like VapingBad so expertly puts it, if you want vapour you need loadsa wicking surface.

I dont know if its going to make a difference but theres only 1/4 of the coil over the air hole with it being such a long coil. But at the moment it appears to be an acceptable vape.

phtumshk is a bit of a fanny on at first I admit, but I just love TC. Coil life is drastically improved too. Make sure that when you first fit any atomiser and the box asks if you have changed the coil that the coil is at room temp. That's where the box will set the datum resistance. The chip will then chuck enough extra oomph at it to get it up to what it thinks is 170 deg C more. If the coil was at 200 to start with things will glow brightly and (terminal)popping sounds will probably be heard.

That's the tricky part the size of coil in the atty, 0.25 mm or twisted 0.2 mm would be better in a Kayfun, sorry I know that doesn't help you right now, but maybe a tank that likes a bigger coil will suit you better with the 0.3 mm.

VapingBad Is absolutely right with regard to wire/wool contact. I struggled with an RDA until I double coiled it, now I get very reasonable results. Kanthal is still King in my book though! Jim

I did flip a coin between .25 and the .3. Shouldve done best of 3 lol. Im going to empty a taifun latter give that a go as the evaporation chamber is twice the size.

Back on the shark. Kayfun .15 at 190c and 14watts. Vaping like a charm. If I hadnt had a big ass fry up for tea Id be eating my words. I think im actually starting to like TC.
