I still have a Vamo somewhere (at work i think), always worked perfectly......... but i wouldnt buy one now tbh, things have moved on considerably since i bought it, 0.8ohm minimum wouldn't fire most of my atomisers for starters Agree it was great in its time! I've got a box mod with a Vamo V8 board in it and fires 0.5 no problem. At £9 ish it works great, absolutely no use if you're into TC though. Cool! The one linked in the OP states that it only fires as low as 0.8, thats what i was going on

Adding my plus to the Vamo, good solid easy to use tube. Still miss mine and yes I would buy another one. I mostly sub ohm but still enjoy a 1.6 - 2.0 ohm build. I don't think even with all the new mods you'll go wrong with a Vamo

Got to admit djs that my Vamp V5 didn't last long. However my V3 is still working well after over 2 years of heavy use. Must admit some v5 have been short-lived, part of the problem is in how many different manufacturers there are of them these days.... Mini-Gun#1's bit the dust after about 6 months, he's now got what was my main one (different maker) and it's fine, and I've still got my backup one from the same maker still wrapped in it's box ready to be wheeled out in the event of the Apocalypse

Hi jaye12, Another vote here for the Vamo as a spare. I too use an Istick 20w (well actually 4 of them) but even as I sit here, I have a boxed Vamo sitting on the desk in front of me. If I am away on a trip, it is in the bottom of my bag with a couple of spare batteries and a charger. Oh sure, it would be easier to take a spare Istick and a charging cable, but I know I can depend on the Vamo if all else fails.

I've got a V2 & V5. The other day when all my Isticks decided to die I dug out the brand new V5 and the batteries and the charger, it worked well but I cannot put up with the faff these days, charging and carrying bats, so much easier with the built in charging mods, get in car can go on charge, get in office can go on charge and you can still use them. Would not go back to the seperate bat days (unless one lasted a week).

Did look at the clouper, but stopped myself, you can only have so many mods lol, know that does not apply to some on here lol. MP

And this is why I fell in love with the Istick 20w and also why I now have 4 of them.
22 hours min of vaping time and with the Aspire Nautilus, I'm guaranteed an all day vape without having to carry any spares. Heaven!!!! I really cannot see me ever going back to batteries.
However, the Vamo will always be there, even if it remains just in the box!!
