Hello everyone, I need some help. I took delivery of some lovely wooden mods. Unfortunately due to their design some of my atomizers (non-adjustable 510) don’t make a connection. It's a long story....... So I looked for a 510, 22mm adapter. All I could find was two types: 1 – Heat sinks – which should work but do increase the height quite a lot 2 – Some Greek airflow ring that looks good but costs an arm, no chance. So essentially I am after something low profile, 22mm, adjustable pin on the mod side and adjustable on the atomizer side. Have you ever seen such a thing? Is this a unicorn?

Back in the day (Provari and kafun, both with fixed 510 pins) I bought a hippo v2 to overcome this problem ... Not sure if they are still available new but you might pick one up second hand in the classies if you created a wanted thread. It will however add about 12 mm to the overall height.

Whatever you get ervi I don't think you will get one as low profile as you would like, so in that respect yep, it is probably a unicorn. If your having trouble with a connection then I wouldn't go with the first picture in your post above as that looks like a fixed centre pin. Pic two looks adjustable by the small screw type centre pin for adjustment therefor IMO would be a better option. There is this www.ukecigcabin.com/product/airflow-controller which I used on a couple of istick 20W when they started to give trouble due to having a fixed centre pin. Again, it's not exactly low profile but it does work very well. I still have one. All my mods now have sprung 510's and I don't use it, if you want it to try it out drop me a PM with your details and I'll pop it in the post tomorrow. The only other solution is to have varitube/Fat Daddy spring loaded connectors fitted to your devices if possible.

ha i just posted about doing the same with an 510- ego mod adaptor, and perhaps a finned 510 connector would be prettier.. DOH!! i only use the ground down ego/510 jobby indoors it does look silly but for vaping the awkward atty/mod combo s it works a charm

The hippo is a great one but its the same size as the heatsinks 12mm.
The sad thing is the mods do have a varitube connector but to keep the mod short he grinded the pin underneath, probably using an Atty with a long 510. So attys with a shorter 510 don't make the pin travel where it needs to be. (Not sure that makes sense)
The Greek one looks great but I think they want 60EUR, that's too much. It an AFC originally so its bound to have machining aplenty.
I saw the smoke but It has a fixed pin and its 21mm.
I think this could be a great little accessory to help problems like this and save our 510 threads,.... If it existed..
Ordered one of those Kepler heat sinks... Hope and pray!
All that failing I will swap the connector by a fdv.
Still think it's an accessory that should exist.

If he had to trim a VariTube to fit there is no chance a FatDaddy will fit they need fair bit more room inside, I would just get some FT varitube clones about a pound each and use the centre pins from them.

striker42, thank you that's a kind offer but I think it won't work and wouldn't want to waste money. Thank you again for the help everyone.

striker42 , thank you that's a kind offer but I think it won't work and wouldn't want to waste money. Thank you again for the help everyone. Ok no problem. The Smok airflow controller is adjustable, but it is only 21mm. If VapingBad gets a look at the weekend, he's the very man to advise the best course of action. Hope you get fixed up anyway.

Pleasure ervi, thanks for letting me know it arrived safely, even better that it works and while it don't entirely agree with any form of OCD, it will at least let you get the use of your new toys until you get some advice from VapingBad on a permanent solution to the problem.

Oddly enough, that looks like the one I got from Vape Escape. It worked as an adapter, but the airflow was a figment of imagination. The base didn't turn, it was rubbish. I figured sending it back was not worth it, so chucked it in a vape box... and, well, 3 years of discount and all that.
