I'm planing on making a smaller one than this @windows with a 450mah and a mains connector for vehicles etc as I work as a courier but that's the last thing on my mind at the moment as finding an enclosure will be hard and designing/making one will take some time.. Maybe I could make some progress during my time off at Xmas

There is a thread about switching between both on the Evolv forum and you need 3 resistors to to fake the balance voltages when the PSU is connected.

Cheers VapingBad 3 resistors is the kind of circuit i feel quite at home with i shall pop over to the evlove board and have a peek... must admit the idea lost momentum when i found the boxed spare batteries cost $50 a pop so would be an expensive route, and since my fabricating skills are very limited, drilling a hole for a cable gland is miles away from making a neat enclosure from scratch.. and also while the mod got a slatting for its battery choice i find i get a day+ from it when used solo ( and thats rare..) so the need isnt as great as i initially anticipated when finding all the -ve reviews after i had clicked the buy button..

Dual power option (internal battery and external power supply)Using a 12V DC power supply

The car i have no idea about, and will just go by the blade fuse rating in the lighter circuit, if 25a or higher a-ok i guess, but the good 10+ seconds it takes to heat up a ciggy lighter coil must draw more power than the diddy coil on my mod does with a vape??, im fairly sure the 12v rail from the old pc psu is over 30a but I will need to check that. sorry for the thread hijack gm111

I've got 4 dna's already for out and about so don't really see the point in having one for both when the main reason for making one was to have the smallest size whist driving..
