I am thinking of moving in from my trusty istick 50 to another mod. At a recent vape meet I happen to see an Evic mini in the flesh and hadn't realised it was so diddy and fell in love...until the following day I went into a vape shop and saw an ipv d2 and saw how small that was too!
I am totally torn between the two. I'm not bothered about the maximum wattage as they are both higher than I need and I am also not bothered about temperature control.
So having said that, which one is easier to use and reliable please? Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to get both!
Many thanks

If you have no need for TC or high watts it depends on whether you want curvy or boxy.

Many thanks I have had 2 evic mini's since they first came out and they haven't put a foot wrong The board is very accurate in wattage mode and it does a decent job with energy efficiency. I had and earlier IPV and it packed up, two fellas from work had theirs pack up too, that's about all I can base it on experience wise. If I had to go to the shop and those two mods were my only choice I would walk out with an evic and not be in the slightest bit disappointed with my decision

I pressed "Checkout" on the EVIC mini TC today at 1 o'clock.
Why?
The IPV D2 has some weird charger. I want to a) mostly charge outside the mod but 2) in the event, use USB, not some never-find-in-the-drawer charging cable.
The IPV D2 does not (repeat NOT) step down properly. I don't vape at high power and this to me a strict no-go.
The Evic looks better. The finish on the D2 is pants. Nobody will save me if either go base of over apex and die... so either way it's money gone... They are both cheap Chinese boxes.
For you.... the lack of step down (in regular Kanthal mode) is going to be the killer.
If I didn't want the temp control, I would buy neither... there are other things out there.

Not had either, but as djs said the non-standard charging cable & no step down (you need high ohm coils to get low wattage) plus that the EVic has free firmware updates make that a clear winner in my book. But from reading about the EVic is just better especially with temp limiting.

Long gone mate I'm afraid No worries, 1 will turn up sooner or later. Back on topic Mrsmac limited colours but QUEENOFVAPES are banging the VT out for £44. It says free delivery over £20. Never used these so have no idea what they are like for service. Dunno if these are renamed kingzofvapour as they seem to have disappeared.

...renamed kingzofvapour as they seem to have disappeared. I did stumble across the renamed KoV website... I think it's this www.dnavapes.com/I wonder that is all about? Anyway... Joyetech UK have the Evic mini VT. It cost £37.98 with P & P. Only for 3 more days, then back up to £45. (£46.99)

djs just picking up on the other mods out there, any suggestions please? What are your requirements Mrsmac ? Are you replacing, upgrading, after 2 (?).... I got the iStick 40w and, um, regret that purchase. That's why the Evic mini is getting the nod. The Sigelei 30w has been good, they were cheap the other day but they've also gone back up at Gearbest. Importantly, what sort of tanks and resistance are you doing?

I think it is just that they vendors are changing form the first EVic Minis to the new Tron colours and them flying off the shelves that they are hard to find now and that could all change in a week or two.
E: I see the IPV D3 has launched and maybe you will see the D2 for £20, though I would still go for the EVic over the D2 or D3 even at that price myself, but the D3 appear to have added step down to the D2.

djs I think its more of a side step to be honest. All my older mods, the sigelie zmax's, dicodes Dani were retired when the istick came about. I've been through the dreadful 20's, 30's and now using 50's. I'm conscious that they have a limited shelf life so am thinking of going back to interchangeable battery mods. My tanks do not change apart from the odd experiment. Kayfuns and magma drippers all built at high ohms 1.4 commonly. Just want something small, that is durable and comfortable that takes 18650 batts. Always wanted a VS but could never afford one, hence why the size of the Evic is appealing to me. Not bothered about temp control as I tried that at the weekend and I don't think it will be for me and what I run I've seen some DNA 30's on focal but I remember some threads about the glue used in these mods etc oh and I had a short affair with the Cloupor mini, that's not for me lol
