has anyone used ni200 clapton wire ?

hi all used the above for first time fasttechs pilot vape 28/32 its  reading .06 ohm on a 6 coil 2.5 diameter but doesn't read in temp on my mods do i have to strip back outer core before screwing into the posts ?cheers for any help russ

I think they are calling the ni200 clapton wire 'hendrix' think ive spotted a few posts in here so perhaps a search for 'hendrix' will bring em up..

im slightly confused regarding the whole concept of twisted/clapton(hendrix) ni200 builds,
since my beginners understanding with ni200 is a spaced coil is preferable as the ni200 lacks the oxide insulation that stops the lectricity jumping loops on contact, and this feature also separates the wires in a complex clapton build so the inner wire/s and outer wires create 2 different resistance paths the longer length of the outer coil and therefore resistance (generally) in parralel with the resistance of the inner wire, so the resistance can be derived by

Tr = (R1XR2)/(R1+R2)

if this isnt applicable to ni200 due to the wires touching and transferring current and in effect being a single resistance path??? .... and thats my confusion..

you dont need to strip it back
you do need to space it
it sorta works on the sig 75 but it needs a lot of power to get it working right
tbh i just clapton .3mm ni200 with 0.2/0.16 kanthal so i can do touching coils
what tank/dripper you using and ill try n copy
als what tc mods you using

that sorta made sense thanks i know know why i not to keen on the pilot vape clapton

some of my more favorable builds have been done with twisted .2 ni200 but 0.3 seems to be my fave for ni200 owww tempered and annealed or soft

cheers guys im using the steamcrave aromasizer rdta with a wismec dna 200 and an effussion dna200 ill have a play later anyway.....think i prefer the flavour off kanthel lol

I've found that you have to run higher temperatures with tc to get the flavours and yes kanthal or nichrome give a more satisfying warm vape. Plenty of juice in reserve with the Reuleaux for 75w claptons.

lol had a play and pref kanthal to ni ...do you guys pre torch the claptons like u would with reg kanthal first ?
