And to you jeffc ... and to all members and guests... Happy Xmas & a Peaceful New Year. I've been working today... who has these 2 or 3 week Xmas breaks  Some comments heard today... Why haven't you got any fresh turkeys left, I need it for tomorrow (said late Xmas Eve?) Why haven't you got more choice of wrapping paper left, I need it for tomorrow (said late Xmas Eve?) Why, why, why... the object of any store is to satisfy demand but not be left with too much perishable or seasonal products on hand... how do you 'tactfully' explain they should have shopped or ordered earlier, not expect it at 5pm on Xmas Eve. Also heard from a delivery driver that another of our stores (not mine) had to call the Police as a fight broke out between customers over the available turkeys (wouldn't happen at Waitrose, would it Perpetua  ) |
