Can someone explain to me why it is better to store liquids in the fridge? What is the science behind it, I use to store mine in the fridge but now I dont, and I have not noticed any difference in the quality of the vape. ???

I don't store mine in the fridge because Mr Karma would then know how many I have I have some in a small toolbox and some in a toiletry bag hidden in a dark corner well away from radiators. I did have some problems last week when the weather was warm, a couple of my juices went really runny and I flooded a couple of cartos

I do not think that it has anything to do with the 'quality' of the vape, but rather more to do with the shelf life of the product. Refrigeration helps to increase lifespan of the product, nothing more.
I store my liquids in the fridge for long term storage and then decant from there for daily/weekly use.
No scientific evidence to support this however, lol, but I will continue on regardless. But it is a well known fact that cooler tempretures allow longer storage times of food articles, same principle, different goodies.

As said above, cooling slows down any degradation, if a juice is prone to settle and the ingredients separate then the cooling will slow it down. Same principle as storing milk really, unchilled milk will spoil very quickly. The juice that's opened and I'm using will stay on the work-surface cos it'll be gone inside a week

I wondered about that Karma, as milk freezes really well, but then I thought...Why would you want to freeze e liquids, perhaps to buy wholesale and stock up in case there is a massive price increase or they decide to tax it. #icon_rofl#

Yeah, can't be too prepared I could hide some bottles easier in the freezer than the fridge

Unless you plan to keep your juices for more than two years there is no need to fridge or freeze.
A cool dark place is all that is necessary.

In what way would it deteriorate ken? Surely it would deteriorate less frozen than just hidden in a dark corner

Does anyone freeze liquids? I freeze my surplus as well Karma as they'll keep better for long term storage like that, indefinitely from what I've read. . . plus they don't freeze solid . . . just become thicker. Although if it's a flavoured juice you might find you lose some of the flavour after several years, similarly some of the nicotine content may also diminish as with a flavourless base. Glass bottles if you're planning on long term storage are the best option, although I don't bother as I could cope with some reduction in nicotine. But generally a cool dark place is sufficient if you're planning on using juice more immediately. I'm going to move your thread to the General Vaping board if you don't mind Phoenix, as you'll probably get some thoughts on there as well.
