FT used to do them but iv not seen them for some time now best just to get a m7x.5 tap and tap a m6 nut out or get a m5 nut ( the m5 are used to hold side lights on trucks ) and see if that would tap out but it may be to small, you will struggle to get a m7x.5 because the normal pitch for a m7 is .75

Amazon do the taps just get one then you can play till your hearts content lol.

you could get a brass bolt from the auxiliary connection on a Renault chassis like I did and drill and tap that out o/s just next to x member at back so cab lol.

O come on,as Neil knows I work on a lot of trucks ( all different makes ) the Renault chassis we have in have a supplement battery supply on the o/s in a little plastic box ( for tail lift feeds and the like ) in there is a spare m8 nut and bolt made from brass cut the threads of the brass bolt drill and tap the head out then insert it into your wood a quick polish and they look good.

Now I think of it , a nice piece of ally block and a 7mm tap would be much better, will have to scrounge the ally though.

A ally strip routed in the top of the wood would look nice.
