A I'm a ex heavy plant fitter ex truck driver ( well still do a bit of driving ) and now I'm truck fitting. Eaton twin split god I could play a tune or 2 on that box.

have you ever driven a hydreamer Kalmar or valmot ? I couldn't tell you what the old tractors I drove were although I did rather enjoy the stamp shift in the Bedford unit and my first real driving was on a diddy old blue fordson major (1940's vintage) when I was growing up on the farm, and on rare occasions I got treated to driving a john deer (hydraulic seat suspension was the only real thing I liked in that job though)

having said that I used to drive trucks, started in an RL, moved on the TM's and TK's as primary units before going down the coles /merc tanker route, and those nasty Iveco's or the crunchy crunchy foden but generally I drove whatever was offered because it was better than sitting in the office shuffling paper until the doc's yanked my licence about a decade ago / damn lucky the shops deliver the shopping

Fortunately I have enough self control which enables me to never have to throw toys.
