Vendors Insight into the TPD by Vapeable

If this is old (I've not seen it before) or not allowed please remove the post, but I read this today and found it a very interesting insight into the TPD from a vendor I use (and rely on) and how it might affect me as a customer of theirs in the future when buying e-juice, concentrates, Nic and base liquids.

I post this here purely because I found it so informative and thought others might as well.

Pretty good insight, I still don't see concentrates coming under the TPD as they were initially designed for the food industry, and I cannot see them banning granny from making her cakes. Maybe separating the Co as they are suggesting will be a work around, or sold as food flavouring ( which they really are) and lose the ECig connection, current DIY mixers will still know what's suitable or not to purchase.

I get Mrs.G-J's pear drop concentrate from them, interesting that TS may want to treat everything as vaping supplies even if it's multi-purpose... not good IMHO...

...and their take on nic base may be worth keeping an eye on..

Who can really say yet but It would appear from the article below that in the case of toy manufacture the Standardization Administration of China (SAC) etc has been working closely with EU authorities to ensure they conform to EU directives.
Plus would Chinese manufacturers be bothered to continue lines that they know EU retailers will not carry? I believe the EU is their biggest market for vaping products. There will anyway be easier ways for the Chinese to continue to provide tank options without outright defiance of the EU rules.

Under the TPD mod will not be effected,and I don't think the Chinese vendors will stick to the 2ml tank rule, every agreement is how you interpret the contents if the tank is sold without a coil then it can not soley be used too tape liquid. 
TPD will effect us all but to what degree is yet unknown, guess we will have too all wait and see.

It's encouraging to finally see a retailer who's bothered to read the actual (draft) UK law (the Department of Health's interpretation of the TPD) about the sale of nicotine rather than repeat the received wisdom mistakenly put about by some who ought to know better.

Right I have been wondering if it matters much what the UK legislation will actually say because there are so many assumptions; extrapolations and interpretations being stated; and acted on; as fact. The Vapeable reading does look like the most balanced so far.

That is the clearest, most easy to understand summing up of the effects of the act that I've read yet. Good old Vapable. Interesting that they are setting up "new businesses" to deal with the nicotine and concentrates side of things too. Maybe we'll get through all this okay after all. Though I'm still stocking up as I'm a glass half empty kind of guy.

For all their intentions surely it will be unworkable for them to police this as too many loopholes. Ok so I can understand everyone changing web etc but really is it necessary, I mean do a search for whisky making or marijuana or grow your own tobacco etc plenty of sites will come up the same as buying bongs etc. How on earth can they ban a subtank etc for resale when you can break it down and sell each part separately juices and nic is the only thing they can screw us on and stem availability. The whole thing stinks and was the reason I never invested too heavily in vaping just to see it took away by greedy governments who need you to continue to smoke and pay tax. Vaping was on a hiding to nowhere from day one but together we must find the loopholes and make sure they do not get rid.
On the plus side vaping has exploded in use but 90% have no clue what's coming so when it does there may well be a mighty backlash. heres hoping

If the manufacturers know what's good for them, they'll design some <2ml tanks that use 'universal' coils that can fit the existing 3,4,5 ml tanks.
They can sell the tanks (maybe?) or more importantly sell the coils without attracting attention (maybe?)

I don't know. I already have tanks made from parts.
