My two Riva batteries seem to be different in some way...
While using the stardust clearomiser, on one battery it screws on easily and right to the end with no force or tightening, drawing air through very easily.
With my other battery but the same clearomiser it doesn't screw down very far and I don't want to force it but the air draw feels a lot tighter and not as free (if you know what I mean).
I'm just wondering why this is? I prefer the first battery a lot more.

Mine seem to be exactly the same to be honest, not screw wise but I get a much tighter draw on one battery than I do on the other. Very strange, I wonder why it is I'm using a stardust on them too by the way

I've always had one that stays solid red whilst charging, and one that flicks green for a millisecond every couple of seconds. Both still work fine though

Is the battery that is tight the black and gold one?

No they are both stainless steel. I had a failed battery and I sent it back to VapeEscape, then I got sent another one. The replacement is the one that works best.

Almost similar ammer, but not quite, both mine work, and charge correctly, it's just that the light behaves strangely whilst charging, it still charges fully, and works fine. From the sound of it, your problem may be something to do with the centre pin. Never mind anyway, LT all the way now I've really got to get me a back up LT, I like it that much. Told the missus when I've been quit for 6 months, as a treat, I'm buying a provari. Of course I say told, it was more like begging really...

I had one that did that, until I burned out the electrics, When I changed them to Ego style it stopped blinking, so I reckon there are different revisions of the internals.

The RIVA connectors I came across are fatter and the tubes are marginally bigger than the egos. Not by much bit enough to cause problems with some skirted cartos/clearos and you have to back off half a turn to get a decent airflow provided you have contact. I have a couple of RIVA connectors with me and the gold ones seem even more thicker than the stainless. Dunno why because the circuit boards in them seem to be of the same size.

The reason for this is even though the Ego/510 threads are supposed to be standard there are manufacturing tolerances some better than others and they just end up as different sizes. It has been discussed many times before that standards in China can be a bit lax, therefore you get differences.

I agree with Des. I find the stardusts especially are a bit fussy in terms of what they will work on. For instance, fine on one of my Rivas and not at all on another one.
