I'm confuzzled!!!! every review and on here I see a new tank on the market that gives the best flavour, to me a tank is a tank, so my thinking is it's how it's set up that gives a better flavour or more cloud, I love my Kanger subtanks but have been looking at the Uwell Crown because it has good reviews everywhere and I like the topfill idea, but how will the flavour be any better, I use 0.5 UD twisted kanthol coils and bacon bits for wicks in my Kanger and vape at 27w, surely if I used the same in the Uwell it would give the same flavour or am I missing something here, the only way I can see them being any different is with different coil set up's at different watts, as I say I'm sure I'm missing something here I just don't know what!!

Air flow makes the biggest difference, how much air there is at the bottom end, how wide the bore of the chimney is, how short the chimney is. Honestly though if you want a really dramatic improvement in flavour and clouds then you really should go for a dual coil RTA. The OBS Crius would be a good place to start, the 2 post deck is easy to build on, it's straight forward to wick and it produces great flavour and good clouds. dnavapes have em for 18 quid.

There are a lot of variables, like the coil type, coil hight, air flow, chamber/chimney, wicking and wick type, all will make a difference to the vape. I noticed a massive difference in flavour and vapour produced when the Kanger Tech Sub tank came out over a year ago, i then noticed the same improvement with the Uwell Crown over the Kanger tech Subtank. Now you have the likes of the RTA's Crius/ Aromizer etc, etc.
For me personally flavour takes precedent over clouds, and some of these tanks available now are getting very close to what was only available flavour wise from a dripper.

mowjohaving the crius tfv4 and subtank all setup with the exact same 0.5ohm Clapton coil with wick from the same pad of muji on the same juice running at the same wattage I found there was a difference in the flavours, I can only assume that difference is down to airflow during the draw (I use the same anti spit drip tips on all my tanks) the subtanks and the tfv4 were closer to the same flavours but not identicle and the difference between them is down to the wicking channels (there construction and airflow system seems identicle) having tried different builds in all of the tanks thus far I have found that dual claptons work best in the crius single claptons are fantastic in the subtanks and the tfv4 works best with stock coils (less leaking) but to be honest I don't like the tfv4 that much compared to the other kit it always seems to add a slight sour taste, I realise that's probably just me but I don't like sour /

Certainly is a minefield, I've always known what suits me might not suit others, I couldn't believe the difference in flavour when I swapped from my GTII's to the subtank mini's, but then I was using different coils in the GTII's, my sweet spot with the kanger mini seems to be around 25w to 30w after that I find the vape to warm for me, I'm all about flavour clouds do nothing for me and I see no point in them unless it's look how big a cloud I can make, with one of the F/B groups I belong to all they post is of how bigger cloud they made, nothing about flavour, I've tried directing a few of them here, as even as someone who knows little about vaping knows enough to know the set up they are using isn't safe, I'm still waiting for someone to get seriously hurt, but they don't care as long as they have the biggest cloud, it certainly dosn't do serious vapers any good, anyway I diverse! what I'm actualy looking for is a top fill tank that gives the best flavour with my pre-made 0.5 UD twisted coils, I was looking at the Kanger top fill mini but it's fiddling with the little screws that put me off, I've never tried duel coils so maybe thats the way to go but I just like to keep thing simple like me,,

Why when i clicked on that link did it go to a "shareasale" page and then quickly flicked to fasttech? no idea, i copied the url out of my browsers address box after searching ft for the item, so no ulterior motive or embedded threat from me.. the same thing ocours when i too try it?? Perhaps it has something to do with me being logged onto my ft account at the time of posting, it was prefixes with an https\\ which i omitted from the link EDIT** Same thing happens with the ft link in this thread.. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/61645/kayfun-mini-v3-on-fasttech?page=1&scrollTo=1063519

Why when i clicked on that link did it go to a "shareasale" page and then quickly flicked to fasttech? That could mean you have tracking cookies or malware on your computer, it went straight to FT for me I was thinking about one of the uwell crown tanks aswell due to all the raving reviews (the coils are really cheap aswell) I was going to wait until a s/hand one came up but I dont think anyone is going to want to sell them !..lol I hope those subtank atty top clones are good as I ordered this set of 3 in the new year sales !......taking the subtank apart every time it needs refilling does my sweede in....so messy!....Well it is when I refill it ! Another one you could consider is a Kraken V2 clone I got mine from 3Fvape but it looks like these on FT are from the same supplier, they're really well machined for a clone, uses subtank coils, top filling & i think it looks better than the subtank.

Hmmm nah the griffin is quite special Bish I'm holding back to see if they bring out a great ceramic coil tank now. The krixus is looking not too bad but I think there's better to come

I was super excited to get an uwell crown.
When it arrived I set it up etc. Zero flavour. I don't mean okay flavour I mean absolute zero.
Read a few reviews saying I needed to let the coil bed in. Tank full later. Still zero flavour. Then it was 'no just keep vaping flavour is amazing etc etc.' Another tank full, a mild raspberry flavour. I tried everything from 30-70w. Gave it a good wash etc etc etc.
Now, I don't see the logic in vaping a few tanks of zero flavour when I can fill up a subtank mini and have cracking flavour right from the first vape. If I have to waste two tanks I'll of juice to get any type of flavour then in my mind that tank isn't a good tank.
