This could be a step too far for my extremely limited modding skills Gordy . . . although if there's an idiot's video to making a coil with it, I'll give it a go for 3 squid for my RDA. Great find.

its so simple Mandy ... and the wick will last ages too, so once you have done it you can forget about it for quite a while
i know this is a video for the line but Scott does a really good job of showing how to oxidise the mesh from about 4 minutes onward
if you dont have a blow torch then one of those 'jet flamed' lighters will work a treat

yep you will need to select the 400 grade on the ebay listing
if you watch the video above its the heating with a blue flame and dousing in water that oxidises the mesh ...make sure you do that process a few times and this will prevent the mesh from conducting electricity.... care also needs to be taken when putting in a stardust that the wick isnt scratched by the centre tube when inserting as this could scratch off the oxidisation
do a dry burn once assembled to make sure that the mesh doesnt glow red at all... if it does the the oxidising hasnt been done correctly

Gordy you say blue flame, would a gas cooker be ok, or not hot enough?

Thank you Gordy. I don't have a blow torch . . . nor indeed would I trust myself with one, as I quite like my house with a roof and four walls. But, the jet lighter business could be a possible . . . I'd have to buy one as I don't possess lighters anymore.
