I just received my cuboid mini kit yesterday so started trying it out. I was wondering if it's normal for the tank to become very warm quickly, does anybody know? Just seemed a little strange for it to happen after only 5-10 minutes of using it

Not sure on the mini tank but the cubis that uses the same coils gets quite hot with the notch coils.

mojoman83 The Cuboid Mini tank is pretty much metal - and metal tanks heat up (and cool down) quite quickly - especially at higher power settings and with the AF closed down. Mine's never got hot enough to worry me - even using it on the Cuboid at higher power with the Notch in though

Once i've filled it - i'll often unscrew the top mouthpiece section and blow it through (shut your eyes as you might get juice blowing out ) After this the problem disappears - for me at least

In fact it's worse now. Was reading somewhere a minute ago that some people have the same issue using the notch coil and that its a design fault with the coil???

sorry to hear that mojoman83Haven't had that problem with mine - either in the Mini tank or now in me Cubis Only thing i can think is to reduce the amount of juice in the tank? But if you still get the problem - there really isn't much difference in performance (for me) in the Notch and SS 0.5Ohm coil - but a huge boost in battery life as a bonus

TBH i do find that the first few "pulls" after fitting a new coil or refilling the tank its a bit gurgglly but then it clears and fine after that.

When I first filled up last night, I had no problems with it at all. Then this morning before I started work I used it for about ten minutes it's fine. Then it started playing up a couple of hours later when I went back to it. I did originally unscrew the top cap and coil to clean out the liquid that got in there the first time- would this possibly have anything to do with it?

Possibly - QC in China is better than it used to be - and i've seen the set up at Joyetech and it's pretty good. I know they test every battery/device before it leaved the factory - but testing the heads is a so many per batch thing You could try giving it a rinse and leaving it to dry - paper towel etc - and then re-priming it and giving it another go? If that doesn't work, then try following the directions in the how to rewick the Notch coils vid

As for rewicking, I'm too much of a n00b and club fisted to even think of doing it

Actually got the RBA head in at the mo - reads 0.54 and is working quite nicely I'll have a go at rebuiding it with SS - but might be a tad tricky. Also have some Notch RBA coils coming from FT - but via me Ma in Ireland so will take a while
