Tbh I don't have very good taste buds for custard.

That's why I make dad's custard as the percentages are high and it actually tastes of something.
But with the custard doughnuts I find it just enough to add flavour.
With dad's custard next time though I'll replace the DDL with cake batter me thinks

I seen you had a cherry bakewell recipe and I'm wondering how good it is?
Ive always loved them and I'm itching to pull the trigger on the flavours.
Anyone else tried tom's recipe?

But i did make it for me xD

I'm very busy at work at the minute but have some time at the end of next week and I could knock you up 10ml if you want to try it... I need to double check im not out of anything too!

Hmm... its fairly close, the marzipan really helps hit the overall almond note, cherry was tough as i like very few cherry concentrates, but this cherry jam isnt half bad
