I got an email today from Re-Juiced saying that to comply they will have to go to 10ml bottles but old stock will be available in 30ml bottles and to look out for offers etc. This is a bloody shame as the Unicorn 30ml bottles are brilliant and helps keep the price down for the customers. Also if you've geared you're production up for the larger bottles, it will add additional expense and I'm sure other problems.

and create more wastage, unicorn bottles tend to get re-used, the dinky ones will end up in landfill sites.

They can sell any size bottle for the next year from what I understand as long as it goes on the market by 19th Nov 2016 and off the market by May 19th 2017. I am surprised a juice manufactures is so poorly informed.

They did actually say that in their email, one of the only ones so far to do so, a couple of firms have just given up and selling out, and good riddance to them as they were obviously only in it for the money, and nothing to do with saving people from smoking.

I don't see the rush to drop 30 ml bottle now then, how many months of stock do they keep, surly not 12.

They're not, they will carry on until 19/11/2016 with the unicorn bottles, and then start introducing the TPD compliant 10ml, whilst clearing their stock after that date

I'm confused now, the OP seems to say once the current stock of 30 ml is sold that's it.

As far as I can work out any bottles filled after 20th May, must be compliant, but does this mean that a large stock of 30ml empties will be wasted. I hope not.

VapingBad do you think that they can continue as normal until November. God I hope so. Lauren @Rejuiced could you tell us more please.

As I understand it 20th May 2017, there are 2 grace periods of 6 and 12 months and anything on the market in the 1st 6 months can be sold until May 17.

I think the relevant wording is;
(5)
The provisions of
regulations 36 to 38 (product requirements etc of electronic cigarettes) do not apply to the supply of an electronic cigarette or a refill container where —

(a) the product was produced before 20th November 2016; and

(b) the supply takes place before 20th May 2017.

So as I read it non-compliant stock can be produced until Nov 16 and sold until May 17.
