gear is so cheap these days it's often not worth the faff to try and change the battery..... retire them to the "old dead vape display" shelf* *not a fan myself, but Mini-Gun#1 is, and already has quite a collection so add them to 'that pile of crap that you cant quite bring yourself to throw away yet coz you spent good money on it and dont want to believe it is worthless coz you can still get a few tokes off it in an emergency before the battery is flat again'? the mini volt and the elfin 40 would be 1000 times more desireable imo with swappable 18350s ...ahhh, you want a kangside 25W Vamo box then..almost the same size as the mini istick but takes 22mm tanks and 18350 batteries

do you throw these mods with built in batteries in the bin after 6 months or so when the battery is knackered? or take them apart and swap in (?solder in - or what?) another cell? you would probably bin that mod with a dead battery, but you can change a soldered in batteries it's just the cost of a replacement battery and all to often high P&P that makes it unattractive for cheap mods. If they had a decent quality board and case it would be worth it, but as you say things like this, the coolfires and many others are effectively disposable, unless you can solder in an 18xxx battery which are cheap and readily available.
