I think we do get what we deserve, as a group we keep overlooking over stated specs in cheap kit because it is mostly still good value. Though I think we would be happier if that just told the truth, unfortunately there are too many mods that claim 100 W or more per 18650 battery and every sale reaffirms that marketing lies pay off. Bob mentioned this video to me at the LSE vape meet last night and I just don't like being treated like an idiot by manufactures, well done Daniel DJLabs. This is not new and not just Sigelei, though they are really taking the pish with this one on both power rating and temp control. Not all bad, I like the charging, if they calibrated it and marketed it as a 150 W device then it could be fine. Then Sigelei hit back playing dirty, we know where you live and are going to send the legal boys round and this really puts them on my boycott list, see @ 9:30. It's worth looking a a recent pBusardo video with Dimitris Agrafiotis mentioning which Chinese manufactures are putting money into advocacy, support the good guy's and ignore the rest. It is probably just the world we live in we have seen the car manufactures crock emission and economy figures for years, still don't like it and put these people on my personal boycott list. This is not a rant IMO, all we can really do is vote with our pocket there is no point getting upset. Anther one that came up in the same conversation was EFest who IMO wreaked the battery market by labelling their batteries with the pulse ratting rather that the continuous rating that used to be standard. Sound's grouchy? IMO they are playing with peoples safety and I will go out of my way not to buy Efest, but I stopped before they started this as I didn't like the quality of the red batteries or LUC4 V2 charger.

This has been kicking off for a few days now and yes they think most are mugs and have quickly released a new fuchsia (sp) version which is supposed to be better but i think they will lose a lot of custom through this.

It really is getting to the point that something needs to happen to stop all the lies and false claims. Companies are continually inflating the output of their mods, Innokin, kangertech and sigelei being just 3 that come to mind. There are many more. The way sigelei have handled this is especially bad though and personally I won't buy any of their products again. Threatening reviewers for telling the truth just isn't on.

The bullshitting about specs i tend to brush off as just something you have to expect, car manufacturers for example have been doing it for decades with BHP, not that i'm saying it's right or even ok it's just something that i'm not overly bothered about. I know what settings suit the build i'm vaping from device to device i don't really care what the number on the screen says i set to taste. The legal threats because someone tested their gear and gave the real numbers is something unacceptable though.

Thank God for those (admittedly few) reviewers who do a full indepth appraisal of hardware before releasing their view to the vaping public. Far too many reviewers are in such a rush to be the first onto You Tube that they are quite happy to tell us that the latest 200w mod is the mutt's nuts when they have only had it for a couple of days and only tested it at 40w.

Don't think you can include Innokin in that line up, they have been regularly one of the few that always appears to lag behind the rest in bringing out new ideas, and wait until they have something fairly good to show before they jump in, just look how many Coolfires they brought out, each one getting better before finally a TC100 which is about as accurate as you can get apart from the DNA200

It's like not buying from companies that have terrible working conditions, customer service and many other things we abhor they don't listen in the confidence that money is tight and people will overlook a lot for a perceived bargain. The car companies are taking a hit over the rigging of emissions and they have never lied to the extent that many e-cig manufactures do with their 100+ W per 18650 that is becoming common. As a side note it makes vaping look like a rouge industry run by a bunch of Dell-Boys, support them if you want, but don't be surprised when they don't return the favour. Where do we draw the line? this mod overstates it's power by 60 W and most would agree that is unacceptable, Busardo is now withholding a thumbs up rating for greater than 10% over stating and I think that is reasonable.

i buy mods i like, if a company does not choose to put money into advocacy then that is there choice. I really dislike philb, what gives him the right to tell us who to purchase e cigs off? and how does he know the companies are giving money to advocacy?

erik514 Just looked at his review of the TC100 and yes although it didn't reach 100w or 90w with his 10% reduction it was quite close at 87.4w, so better than most and much better than the Sig 213 which only got to 155w - not that I vape at silly wattages anyway, think the highest I've ever vaped at is about 84w on a 250w/60A semi mech device made by a UKV member, I prefer cooler vapes
