Good evening each,
Been having a second go at mixing :-)
Could you please give me some advice on using Capella waffle concentrate - smells fantastic but seems super potent and I reckon it could overpower things easily.
Appreciating all tastes are subjective, would this be a reasonable ratio to try?
Capella Custard V1 - 10% Blueberry or strawberry - 5% Waffle - 2%
I prefer strong flavours but don't want the waffle to "kill it" :-)
Thanks, as always.
Andy

Don't know if there's anything to give you some guidance on ELR Andy: e-liquid-recipes.com/list?q=+waffleI've only used TPA's and would certainly be using anything up to 8% of that, depending on what else I was combining it with - so I'd think you could possibly tweak that up a bit. For my tastes, I'd probably go as a starting point: 12% VC 7% Strawberry ( not a fan of Blueberry ) 3-4% Waffle

Be careful with blueberry as it's very overpowering. Like Perpetua I'm not too keen

I also notice a lot of recipes use Bavarian cream or the like. Does that make a big difference?
I'm looking to make a blueberry (or strawberry!) waffle custard

I also notice a lot of recipes use Bavarian cream or the like. Does that make a big difference? It's certainly a very useful and versatile flavour to always have in for me Andy. Depends what ratio you use it at for the effect to be subtle or more noticeable - I quite enjoy it as a ' standalone ' as well.

I find CAP Waffle tastes very maple syrupy. If you were wanting a waffle flavour that actually is just a waffle, then maybe try Inawera if you can find it at a UK vendor? I've read it's a very realistic plain waffle without the maple note. Supposed to be uber strong/potent, even by INW standards.

Does the syrup overpower the waffle too much spacey? or is it well balanced, maybe a standalone flavour I could enjoy?

When i first started vaping i fell in love with Liberty Flights xo maple waffle (think they stopped making it quite a while back). So when i started diy i thought id try and make me a similar flavour. Bought couple of different maples to try, and also cap waffle. I just couldn't get it right at all. Always turned out like a weird curry smell/taste!! I gave up trying and still haven't gotten around to having another attempt! This is a long winded way of saying i cant really remember what cap waffle tastes like stand alone, as my memory is tarnished by the curryness!! But the lick test of the concentrate gives me quite a maple taste

Perpetua - I tried the ratio you suggested a few days ago - even after 3 days it already tastes rather yummy - thank you very, very much :-)
